  1. Premiere protein are great and perfect for me because I do not like powder protein and all the nonsense I have to go through to make a shake. I got three cases at SAM's club for 17.00 each. I am going to start using them again this week to keep me off the sweets. These GS cookies have been difficult, but at least I am only eating a few and not the whole box.
  2. I have 4 dogs. I was more worried about the dogs being home by themselves. I have a doggie door they can come and go. My dogs have food and water 24 hours a day so there is no issue with them scarfing down food and I have a doggie door. I have 3 chihuahuas and a golden. My daughter also lives two blocks away, but I worry about her coming in the house when we are not there. My Golden might bite her, seriously, not hard, but a warning bite. She is not the brightest crayon in the box. The Chihuahuas love my daughter so there is no issue with them. My doc put my mind at ease and told me if my surgery is in the AM, I will most likely be discharged the next day, so that would only be two nights away from home. My husband will be staying with me. I was thinking of booking the hotel for him for a second night so he can go back and get some rest. I am pretty sure that is what I am going to do.
  3. Did you have a private room like Roz has in her video? I just need to know for my husband and if I need to book a hotel room for one day or three.
  4. Has anyone had surgery by Dr. Pysher or any of the surgeons at SCNV? What was you experience like? How was Reston Hospital. So far, I am having a really good experience and I would definitely recommend this practice. The office staff is wonderful and so supportive. They go way above and beyond, and Dr. Pysher honestly cares about you.
  5. Hope you are having a good recovery!!!!!!
  6. Congratulations, thinking of you today. Let us know how you make out.
  7. I just got my RNY date today, March 19th!!!!
  8. I had my EGD done today and I have a surgery date of March 19th. All paperwork is being sent to HCA Aetna for approval. The time is going to go by really fast, the past three months have flown by. I am really excited. WooHoo!!!!
  9. I am having surgery with Dr. Pysher at Surgical Consultants of Northern Virginia and they have been wonderful. I have a unique situation and live 5 hours away and they have jumped through hoops for me. I cannot say enough about the practice and Dr. Pysher is a gem. They have made this whole experience very positive. I go on Monday Feb 10th for my preop appointment and my EGD. I hope to get a tentative surgery date then.
  10. Good point. I always tell the surgeons when I have surgery that residents may watch but no touch. My doc will be doing the surgery herself since I have severe gastroparesis and I have a gastric stimulator. I also have a lot of adhesions due to open abdominal surgeries. Hopefully this surgery will take care of the gastroparesis for good.
  11. You are too funny, you sound like my husband. I don't want the state to get custody of my dogs either. My husband thinks I am nuts that I am not worried about the procedure, I am worried about leaving my dogs. I have to travel 5 hours so my husband will not be home at night.
