  4. I would go with your surgeons recommendation since most of the folks here are not doctors. I weighed 215 (5 ft 5) at my consult....I’m thinking since I’m at the “lower” end of the BMI that he’d recommend the sleeve. I have reflux so he recommended bypass. Since the surgery, reflux is gone. My BP went from high 140’s/80’s to 120’s/ 70( or less) , the same day. It’s crazy! Do your homework, sounds like you are. Btw, your pcp probably isn’t an expert on bariatric surgery. Good luck with whatever you choose!
  5. I had the bypass on the 22... a week later I had IVs at home for 5 days and it was awesome. However, now I’m having a hard time getting enough fluids AND the protein. It’s one or the other for me, sometimes I suck at both. I do not regret it one bit but I’m anxious to get my energy back. I went to an Escape Room today and I swear, my brain is not functioning. Was useless, lol. Once you can have soft food, it won’t be as bad. Think about it...it’s a few crappy weeks out of your (most likely longer) life. It’ll be worth it.
  6. That sounds awesome! I’m 5 days post bypass and all I can think of is chewing!
  7. Maybe try cutting what you’re eating in half and just eat more frequently
