  1. If you don't mind would you please tell me how or what made your sleeve very large?
  2. First available appointment I suppose. At least that's what they said. That was the earliest I could get in.
  3. No, it's my band. I found that out earlier this year when it landed me in the hospital. It has slipped. You can't get food poisoning if you can't eat or hold down food. It's definitely not a virus. I haven't been anywhere to get one. Thanks though.
  4. Yes this is true, but I was supposed to go out of town on the 26th, and my wedding anniversary is Thanksgiving day. ?
  5. That's a good question. I'm guessing yes, since surgery is over a month away. Thank you for that explanation. That does make me feel better. The receptionist did reiterate that 11/25 was his next available opening. Doctor should have checked with her before he gave me a date. As for work is concerned, I'm not working so I don't have that problem to worry about. I'm out on disability due to multiple medical issues. Again, thanks @Machalo ?.
  6. Soooooo, in the midst of me calling the doc's office to let them know how sick I've been, I find out that my surgery date isn't until....NOVEMBER 25, 2019. What!!!!????????? Really????? And no one had the decency to call me and let me know. The only reason I found out was because the hospital called to cancel my preop appointment I had with them today because it was too early. And I was like huh? ? So sure enough, the hospital was right. The receptionist nor the nurse knew that doc told me on 10/1 he wanted to do the surgery on 10/21. Sooooo how did he forget that quick and we had literally just come out the room when I was sick and nauseated then???? Man, I am pissed and disappointed all at the same time. I was supposed to go out of town 11/26. Now I can't because I'll be in the freaking hospital. ?
  7. Great! Thank you and same to you. ?
  8. Sorry to hear about the passing of your father. On a good note...CONGRATULATIONS on losing the weight and continued success.
  9. Not have three sizes in my closet (small, medium, and large). I'm also hoping that this arthritis in my knees will subside just a little bit even though they started to hurt really bad which is why I started gaining weight in the first place because of the medicines I was taking.
  10. Good luck! I'm feeling a little nervous too. My surgery is on Monday. ?
  11. Well, I couldn't eat a second salad, nor could I finish my second protein shake. I'm happy that this time it won't be a problem starting full liquids on tomorrow. My doctor's office never did call me back, but they know me, if it were a major emergency, I would have been bugging the hades out of them. I probably would have even gone there yesterday morning. ??? I know my body so what I'm feeling is gas, no question. After all, up and until now, I had been eating REALLY GOOD FOOD. Yes I know, no carbs and stuff, but ya see, I CAN'T HELP IT!!!! I'm a food addict/junkie. But this time, I have my NUT to keep me in check. She wants to see me after the surgery so she can see how I'm doing and to keep me accountable. (I LOVE HER?) I didn't have a NUT the first go round. Anyhoooo...... I tried some pickle juice and just as I suspected, it didn't work for me. I'm still feeling ? bluh this morning. No vomiting though so that's a good thing. I will keep to drinking liquids and I'm going to skip out on the salad for lunch. I'm officially on the count down and I'm actually feeling nervous a little, but it's good nerves .
  12. ? awesome!!! Thanks for the update. Continued success.
  13. Ok. I was just wondering. Good luck.
  14. No, but I wouldn't eat anything like that again. Please stick to the diet as you're trying to shrink your liver. Good luck.
  15. Hi Victoria, I know exactly what you're going through. I'm recovering from foot surgery in which I had long pins in my toes for a month. Girl I was so glad when the doctor took those out. Anyway, from what I have been reading, I am seeing a lot of people are converting to RNY from the sleeve. My first appointment was back in June and now I'm having surgery next week. Everybody is different. I had insurance requirements to meet this time around whereas the first time (8yrs ago), I was self pay. You really need to get the ball rolling by seeing a surgeon and go from there. Good luck to you. ?
  16. Yes we do and that's great you lost weight on your own. I have tried, and tried, and tried again. I don't have a problem losing, my problem is staying motivated enough to keep it off. That's my problem. I do see your point. I guess I would be still hungry too. We will make it. We have done this before. Hopefully, we won't EVER again lol.
  17. No, to answer your question. I just wanted to say congratulations and continued success.
  18. Girl yes this is hard. I'm surprised you're able to eat meat. The majority of us are on full liquids. So in my little carnal mind, I'm trying to understand why you're hungry? I would think just one yogurt, but I can't have that so idk. I would definitely give a call to find out. Best wishes.
  19. Not recently. I just know that because of what the nurse told me. That's why almost everyone has to do the liquid diet. I know YouTube has some great videos to check out. When I first heard about the sleeve 5 years ago, I looked it up to see what in the world. I'm still not understanding why it's called a sleeve when you're not putting anything on the stomach. You're actually cutting the fat part off and shaping it like a banana. Lol but it's a sleeve, ok ??? as long as it helps me loose this weight and keep it off, I don't care what it's called.
  20. No, I'm not nervous at all. I don't start the diet until Thursday. I actually started it on my own last week, and by day 3 I became very nauseous. I will and thank you.
  21. I'm from Crosby, TX. A little town outside of Houston. Having the sleeve done next Monday, Oct, 21.
  22. Congratulations!!!! You look great! Keep up the good work.???
