  1. Sounds great to me. I hope to have my July date very soon and would love to add it to your list.
  2. I'm still on the fence about it. I figure I will talk to the surgeon about it when I go for my next appointment.
  3. Thank you for your fast responses. I will look further. I'm new to all of this and still finding my way. Susie: My surgeon is Michael Trahan in Charlottesville, which is where I live. He just recently started offering Realize. I haven't spoken to him about it because he started doing them after my visit with him. It is nice to have some folks close to home that have been through the banding already.
  4. My doctor is now offering both bands. I don't know which way to go. Any advice folks?
  5. I go for my last (3 month) weight check this month. My surgeon is shooting for the end of July if insurance gets approved. Say a prayer for me!
  6. But man it is hard. Especially the one first thing in the morning. I will do it, but I may need a kick in the pants every now and then.
  7. Thanks so much for offering to answer questions for me. I really appreciate it. I'm starting to get a little nervous. I'm trying to cut back and in some case cut out certain foods. The hardest thing for me will be cutting out sodas. I'm now down to almost half of what I used to drink. I will keep in touch and wish you continued success and good health.
  8. Dr. Trahan is my surgeon too! I hope things are going well since your banding. I know you are glad to have it behind you. Pat Cheek told me she had a group, but I had hoped to find some folks on-line as well.
  9. I'm looking for a support group in Charlottesville? I hope to be approved for surgery in July. I've had the psych and nutrition visit. Met my surgeon. Now working on the 3 month diet required by my insurance. I would like to have a support group line up following the surgery. Thanks, Barb
