  1. I had RNY 4 years ago. The past few months it seems I’m easily gaining weight. My weight is still healthy. I’m 135 and 5’1. What can I do to stop the gain before it happens??’
  2. I had RNY bypass last May. I’m currently 114 pounds and seems to still be dropping. I want to be like 135. For my height of 5’1 it says my weight is normal but I look scary. Not sure what to do. I also exercise 6 days a week I really don’t want to stop doing that. What else can I do???
  3. I was wondering if it is ok to take codeine guaifenesin after gastric bypass. I’m almost 2 months post op. This is the first time I’ve been sick since surgery and I can’t stop coughing. I’ve tried OTC meds and nothing is working.
  4. I’m having pain from the incision on the right side of my belly button. Seems to hurt more when I move. Any idea what it could be?
  5. I’m 2 weeks and 2 days post op RNY. I am non stop starving. Like I literally feel like my stomach is eating itself. I follow my schedule to the T. I have never felt full since surgery. I have also only lost one pound in the past week. Doesn’t seem right. I’m frustrated and starting to wish I hadn’t done the surgery.
  6. My RNY was done May 8th. No complications. They also repaired a hiatal hernia I had. I didn’t have any nausea or vomiting. I was able to drink right away. My incisions are nearly healed already. Liquid diet sucks. I’m sick of all the sweet crap. What I would give for everything to have more savory options. Soup is my savior. I’m still tired some. I’m thirsty ALL the time. And STARVING!! I can’t wait for puréed food!! Maybe 11 more days, I hope!
  7. My number one thing is to buy a nice pair of nice fitting jeans ? and then buy a pretty bra!
  8. Thank you everyone!! I got some multivitamins. And I’m gonna call my Dr. on Monday. ?
  9. I do have a book. It outlines the diets but not vitamins. I know I need them. But I don’t know what.
  10. I had RNY a week and 2 days ago. I’m so thirsty ALL THE TIME. I know I’m not dehydrated because I hardly ever stop drinking. I’m not currently taking any vitamins. Could I be deficient? My dr. never mentioned anything about vitamins after surgery.
  11. I’m 7 days out from RNY and I had not had a BM yet. My nurse said to take a dose of milk of magnesia which I did around 1 pm. At 3pm I had a BM but it was diarrhea. I’ve had diarrhea ever since and it’s almost midnight. I haven’t taken in any protein since 3 as I felt ill and was more concerned about staying hydrated. Also my stool is dark brown and all liquid. I don’t know what to do.
  12. I’m 5 days out of RNY and my belly is still quite tender, I have 5 incisions. I’m still swollen. Is that normal??
