  1. I had to have a history of being obese for 5 years. I don't go to the doctor very often, maybe once a year... There was one year they didn't weigh me and the insurance almost rejected me because i was missing a year. But since my 6 months of surpvisec weight loss continued into this year, I was able to provide proof of 5 years.... I wonder how many more hoops I can jump through.... Good Luck!
  2. Thank you so much for replying... I have Dr. Felts... My surgery is in exactly one week... I have to go to Decatur for the surgery, so all day I have been trying to find a decent hotel to stay in the night before. I have been trying to sstick with the diet, it has been hard at times. Usually when I am by myself. I think no-one would know if I had some fries or a starbucks coffee... and then I chicken out drink a shake or eat a Protein meal bar.... I think i will mis beer the most, but only cause it is forbidden now... oh well.... where is you surgery?
  3. After reading a few of these blogs, I feel more confused then relieved.... Am I doing my pe-op diet correctly? or am I screwing things up for myself??? I am on a high Protein, low carb, low sugar, low fat diet. I am drinking 2 Protein shakes a days and 2 small meals with a lean meat and green veggies ( And I am getting real tired of broc)... I am worried that I am doing everything wrong... what kind of pre-op diets does you doctor have you on? whay are there so many diffent ones? My Surgery is May 21st...<yikes>

This is my first blog, so please forgive me... I am about 6 days into my pre-op diet.. The week was good, I drank my shakes, ate grilled chicken with a salad or with broccolli, but then the weekend came. I stuck to the diet, but it was realy hard at times. I took my mom to the horse races and my dad had a pizza and a beer. I don't think I ever wanted a pizza and beer as bad as i did just then... but I was a good girl and stayed away. I am getting both excited and scared at the same time. I am worried the big day will come and something will happen that I won't be able to do the surgery. I am scared that it will be a failure and I won't lose any weight. So please tell me about any success stories. Please let me know that the dream has worked out for you, and that you are now healthy and happy, and that one day I will be too...:rolleyes2:
