  1. Wow, that is awesome! Congratulations.
  2. Wow, so recently! Congratulations. How are you doing so far, pain-wise and all. You ok? Yeah, it totally blew my mind about my mom. I won't be telling anyone else about the surgery, though. I'm just a very private person. Good luck to you! Hope to keep hearing updates on you and that you're doing great! :tongue2: Wow, thank you so much! So few people posted I really wasn't feeling that welcomed, but I do really appreciate you taking the time, as with the others. Thank you.
  3. egads!! How scary!! I hope you're not all alone at home now while you're recuperating! I hope you'll fill us in when you're up to writing more. I'll send lots of healing thoughts your way.
  4. Awesome! Congratulations!!!

  6. OMH What a nightmare. You poor thing! I am so sorry you had to suffer such pain and humiliation and poor treatment. :smile2: My heart goes out to you. I hope you sue their butts off at that hospital. I am not a sue-happy kind of person, but their maltreatment is pathetic.
  7. I totally agree. I don't find it funny at all. It just shows their ignorance. It's really sad.
  8. Hi all, I'm new to the forum in general, but definitely belong in here as my BMI is in the 70's (height 5'10"). I've lost about 30 pounds on my own in the past couple of months, but will be seeing my doctor this week to start the long process of referrals for surgery. I've enjoyed reading all your stories and hope someday to have a success story to add to them. I have only told my husband and parents, and don't plan to tell anyone else. My mom shocked me when I told her -- said she, too, had thought about having it done, and wants to go through the process with me and see about getting it for her. One day at a time, I guess.
  9. Hi all, Just hoping to find someone else in Oregon. Thanks!
