Surgery twin!!!! So excited and nervous!!

Mine is the 18th as well!

Hi Folks, I've been excited to count down and tomorrow is my surgery. On Sept 18th I had my final pre-blood work down and my White blood cell count was high, around 13 where the max range is 10.8. I had just finished a course of steriods for bronchitis. The surgeon examined me and I was breathing clear so asked me to do another blood test on the 27th. well..I just got an alert from quest the results were in. I looked and the WBC count is only down to 12. I haven't heard yet from the surgeon if they want to cancel but I know they are very risk adverse at this hospital. expecting I'll be postponed which is okay I guess for safety. But I already took my two weeks off of work and made plans for my staff and backups. probably posting to y'all too soon but has anyone experienced being postponed due to labworks? Ultimately I know it will be a good thing if it makes it safer and less prone to infection.....

I am on the same track as you. My last nutritionist appointments are 8/9 and 9/11. I am hoping that they will get me scheduled soon after that. I can't wait to get to the next step in this journey :-)

I am so glad that I am not the only one that is "obsessed" I have my 4th out of 6 nutrition appointments tomorrow and I am so excited. Hopefully will have my surgery in late September or October. :-)

I’m on month 4 of 6 of my insurance required visits. No surgery date set yet but hoping for late September or October. Not a day goes by that I don’t do at least one of the following... research online, watch YouTube Bariatric videos or browse here and several Facebook groups. I’m pretty anxious now. I originally started the process 4 years ago but only went as far as the first visit. I felt surgery was too drastic at the time and I thought I could lose the weight on my own. After many ups and downs (biggest loss of 50 pounds) and gaining it all back my pcp referred me to a weight management center. I feel comfortable with the staff/doctor. I hope the remaining months go by fast. I’ve never ever wanted summer to be over with. Lol.

I crochet, sew, walk my dog, and have been cooking different recipes that I find on various bariatric blogs to find new things to try. I am allergic to fish and seafood so I hope to find other alternatives that are high in protein. I never knew there were so many ways to cook chicken lol :-)

I have a random question that popped up when my hubby and I were discussing our plans for when I have my surgery. I have 3 more nutrition appointments before I can submit for approval, but am looking forward to getting this done :-)
One of the things that my hubby was planning on doing for me the day before my surgery was sending me to the spa for a spa day. Would that be ok? Has anyone else done that?
