  1. Hi! I had surgery about 9 days ago, and I’m starting to think I’m broken. So many others describe having a hard time getting their liquids down, getting in protein, and getting in enough calories. I can easily get in 50-60 Oz of liquid, 60 g of protein (from shakes), and I’m eating about 500-800 cal a day. So far I’m following the program except that I can eat a little more strained cream of chicken soup than 1/2 cup - usually about 3/4 cup - 1 cup and that is where I limit it. I eat stevia flavored plain nonfat Greek yogurt sometimes too - but I limit that to 1/2 cup. I only eat 3-4 times a day and no snacking besides occasionally some no sugar popsicles. But so far nothing has made me sick, and nothing has made my stomach hurt. At first I was “head hungry” after surgery - not physically hungry but craving any kind of real food that I could at least chew. Now, that doesn’t seem to be an issue anymore, although I am looking forward to moving to puréed food in less than a week. I’m satisfied eating 500-800 calories and don’t feel any physical hunger. The one bad thing I’ve done is have a little bit of halo top ice cream (very low in sugar and fat, has added protein. It’s not technically on the plan, but it is a liquid and is low in fat and sugar. It has not bothered my stomach. My question is - is this normal? Did the surgery not work for me? How come some people have a hard time eating 1/4 cup and I can eat almost a cup (of strained cream of chicken soup)? Is it because liquids pass through quicker? Will this change as my food begins to get more and more solid? Help! I’m really hoping I’m not broken!!
