    My surgery date is April 8th. I started the process last May. I just got my approval yesterday. 53 days and counting! I don’t mind waiting because now that I know for sure it’s happening I have time to get in the right headspace.

    I was just told by my cardiologist that I should consider bariatric surgery. What was the deciding factor for you? I am worried about side effects and I hear it’s a long process to be approved by insurance. I would love to hear how everyone got started on their journeys. Thanks.
