  10. Rant away! I have a very judgmental family. (excluding husband and kids, they are great), I'm not going out of my way to tell people, butI am not ashamed and not keeping it a secret because that would place a burden on me. I remind myself that there are many reasons why I chose this surgery and many health issues that no one knows about apart from my husband and kids. Only I know the whole story. For the FIRST time in my life, I am putting myself first so I can enjoy the REST of my life. Cheers to you!

  14. Hi, I am in the Kaiser Permanent pre-op phase. I have my psych eval on April 1st. I have reached my goal weight and I'm really curious to see how long many of you felt that you could return to work? I had a set back recently. I fractured my tibia (shin bone) and was out of work for 9 weeks. I know everyone's recovery is unique and different. I'm just trying to get an idea of howling I will need to be out. Thank you! I'm looking forward to reading about your stories. Gina
