    Updates:
Stricture appears to be resolved ? Only a few incidents happened around certain foods that I have now avoided (still cannot eat mechanically separated poultry (turkey sausage, chicken deli meat, breads bread textured products, refined sugars etc. my body still rejects it... No big deal don't like it anyway)
Mostly maintaining despite being on the road for a while but now back to a very simplistic diet ?
Life is basically back to normal now but features are vacay selfies and food pics
All in all very very good ❤

Hey guys decided I would post some pics and my story. I’m Mike and I’m 37 from Montreal. Waited a full 5 years to get this surgery. Best decision I ever made.

Surgery was Nov. 22, 2018 and I’ve since lost over 180 lbs! I work out 6 times a week; cardio, swimming and various exercises.

let me know what you think!

This morning I weighted myself for my 4weeks Post Op :)

If you saw my post about what was going on in week 3 you have most likely have read that I had gained 1.4lbs and then my weight wasn’t moving. glad to say today I had lost that 1.4lbs and an additional 1.2lbs making this weeks lost a total of 2.6lbs :)

I know I have only lost 22lbs in 4lbs and that’s amazing but I’m really excited to lose the next 48lbs to get to my first personal goal :)

    Weight stats:
    Starting HW: 270.6
    PRE-Op diet starting weight: 268.3
    Surgery weight: 266.8
    WEEK 1: -11.6lbs
    Week 2: -5.4lbs
    Week 3: +1.4lbs
    Week 4: -2.6lbs
    Total: -22lbs

    My personal Goals:
Goal 1: get down to 200lbs (48.6lbs to go ?)
Goal 2: get down to 180lbs
Goal 3: get down to 160lbs
Goal 4: get down to 135lbs

    NSVS:
    • I can go in my closet and pick any 2xl clothing and it be fitting just right or lose, and some XL fit nicely :)
    • I see the difference in my face and body

    Other updates:
    • Still have no appetite, still forcing myself to eat for fuel unless I go longer that 3 hours I do get this one feeling of emptiness
    • I can tolerate Greek yogurt (texture throws me off but I don’t mind it), tuna, 4 shredded cheese blend or mozzarella/cheese sticks, mashed beans, steamed zucchini and carrots (yay I been wanting veggies), Atkins French vanilla protein shakes, cottage cheese, reduced fat ritz crackers, scrambled eggs
    • can’t tolerate chocolate flavored Atkins protein shake, I get sick with nausea
    • my water intake is improving, getting closer and closer to 64oz

    Hi everyone,
I just want to say this has been quite the amazing journey thus far. December 18th 2018 I went into my surgery at 285 pounds. 8 1/2 months ago was the biggest decision and biggest step I ever took towards changing my life. For the past 8 years I was a very happy and unhealthy person. Gradually becoming more and more obese by the day. I truly thank my family to opening up my eyes as to how unhappy and unhealthy I was. I first went into my doctors office at a very unhappy and unhealthy 304 pounds. My pre-op diet of protein shakes for 2 weeks helped me get down to 285 just in time for my surgery. I am now today 167 pounds as of this morning. I have not been in the 160's since my teens and I am now 27. I still want to lose another 37 pounds to reach my goal weight of 130 due to my height. But the sky is the limit baby!! I just want you all to know post op and pre op that I wish you all good luck and hope you had and have as much success as I did so far. Hugs to you all!!!
