  1. Name: Jen Date you were banded: April 29th Weight loss to date: 15 lbs since day of surgery How are you feeling? Frustrated, I am having a hard time staying on the diet.
  2. I'm really glad I read this. I got banded on April 29th and lost 15 pounds the first 10 days. Now I haven't lost anything. I don't get my first fill until June 2. I must admit I have been freaking out too. Thanks all!!!!
  3. Medicaid just paid for mine. I know it is getting harder for them to get it approved. With medicaid you have to have at least 2 pre-existing conditions caused by obesity and I can't remember the bmi I think over 35. My doctors got it approved for me. You also have to have a psych evalutation and if there is any depression medicaid will make you do counseling for a while before they will pay for it. Have you been checked for sleep apnea yet? That is a big one that will help get it approved.
  4. I am 8 days post op and I have the burning around my port too. Actually that is the only thing bothering me. Glad to know I'm not alone.
  5. I feel pretty good. A little sore if I over do it. I'm sick of soup already though. lol Congrats on getting yours scheduled and good luck.
  6. I finally had my lapband done on April 29th. I started the process in October of last year. It was done in Scottsbluff, Nebraska by Dr. Forney and Dr. Holloway. I expected it to be a month or so after I was finally appproved but they scheduled me 2 1/2 weeks later. I was a little stunned, happy and nervous all at the same time. This first week has been very interesting, but I am very happy I got it done.
