  1. Thank you Elisabeth. But I wonder why would they remove it later. Wouldnt you have to be under that x-ray machine and that would be bad for the baby. I guess I need to talk to him more.
  2. We are wanting to plan a pregnancy and would like to know if anyone has had a baby with the band and if so did u have any complications and did you have to remove your fill? My doctor says you don't have too, but I just don't get that. But I've lost 80 pounds and am so terrified in gaining alot of weight back. HELP !!
  3. I start my mushies on Sunday, does anyone have any ideas of what I can eat ? Other than mashed potatos , cottage cheese and creamy soups ? :uwelcome:
  4. YOU GO GIRL !!! CONGRATS !! On your success .. Go Tammy it's your B-day, lol !! Can't wait to see the pics...
  5. Hey girl how are you doing. I also had my surgery same day as you. Today is the first day that I actually feel good, less gas pains and stuff. Sorry your mom had to leave so soon. I dreaded my husband going back to work, but it was for the best, so that I could get my butt out of bed and start moving around on my own. I know that's a good feeling though to be waited on hand and foot, lol !!
  6. Well guys I finally did it !! Was banded April 3rd, 5th day post op. It was a little tuff at first, but i've gotten through the worst. Even those nasty gas pains. Hopefully, don't want to talk to soon, ha ! But everything has been going well. Congrats to the ones approved and the ones still waiting, the time will come, keep praying !!!
  7. Thanks guys for the support. The pain has finally eased down. I tried everything you guys said and it did the trick. I am soo relieved now. Boy the other night I was just poofing away, ha LOL !!
  8. Guys this gas is killing me. What can I do?? I walk , take gas x and still it hurts so bad. I feel the pain in my upper left shoulder up to my neck even at times. I hate it, what else can I do ??? :faint:
  9. Thanks guys for replying. I feel that I do have the will power to have this one time and back on track tomorrow. I have done good all day except for that graham cracker. So I'll just have a small bag of popcorn no butter and no coke. I'll drink water. Don't want to risk anything on having extra gas pain after surgery, lol !!
  10. Thank you P-nut. I guess I just feel paranoid right now and I want everything to go well with surgery. I don't want them to tell me that they can't do it because I have to much fat around my liver. I do feel like I've lost a little and I feel , well in a way restriced. I have a protein shake in the am then a fruit mid morning, then 1 serv of ck breast 1 serv of green veggie, boiled egg mid after noon snack and a shake for dinner. I just thought that if I ate the popcorn, it would screw everything up. Yes your right a small bag without butter, OK !! Thank you!
  11. By the way my surgery date is on April 3rd....
  12. I'm on my second week of my pre-op and today I just want to cheat so bad. I've been doing really good following everythin like I should, but today I just feel like I'm loosing it. I ate 1 square of a graham cracker and I feel guilty and later I'm going to the movies with my husband. And I'm already thinking about the popcorn and diet coke. Would it be bad if I was to have it just this one last time, before surgery. I have been doing so good. I guess I'm just trying to justify myself. But dang just one last time :faint: :faint: I don't know what do you guys think, :help:
  13. :clap2: I just found out today that I got approved. I feel so excited, I can't wait. Now I'm just excited in getting a surgery date. I've been reading some of these stories about bad gas pains. Is there anything you can take before surgery to prevent so much pain ?? I'm just so excited, I still can't believe it !!! :clap2:
  14. Thanks all for your reply. That info was very helpful to me. I just can't wait to get my tests completed and get an answer from the insurance. Hopefully it won't be too long before I am also too a bandster, lol.....
  15. :help: Hi! everyone. After doing alot of research, I have finally made up my mind to go ahead and do this. I went for my consult last wed, didn't get to talk to the actual doc. just to his staff and this week I'm in the process of getting my tests completed. But I just wanted to know if someone could give me the real insights on this. I love to drink on the weekend and have a couple of smokes, is that okay. I know not right away, but eventually ?? I love me some miller lite, will I have to switch to wine ?? Can you still have some of the mexican foods, salsa, chips, corn tortillas, fajitas, rice, beans ?? Are the gas pains tolerable after surgery ?? Can you take something before you have surgery , so you don't have as much gas afterwards?? I know everyone's body is different and different things respond to it differently. HELP !!! :Banane40: By the way happy valentines to everyone !! :kiss2: :kiss2:
