  1. You look awesome! Congratulations to all of you!
  2. This is what my bathroom looks like and why I'm going to a rehab facility. Not though room for my feet and I can barely get into the shower.
  3. I just got my first knee replacement. But I'm going to a rehab facility because my tiny bathroom won't accommodate my walker. Don't know how long I'll be there, but it's best right now. I'm still on my weight loss journey. I want to lose another 60lbs. Then hopefully after I get my other knee done, I'll be able to run too. Not that I run. LOL

  5. There was a typo in my first post, I have only lost 61 lbs, not 71lbs, yet. On my way there. I weighed 249 today and my goal is 185, so I have a way to go. I am sure the when I am able to walk, I will lose faster. Again, thanks for prayers and good thoughts!
  6. Thanks everyone for your inspirational messages. Today I can barely walk, so I am excited to get my knees done. I know there will be pain, I have already gotten both hips done. I had that surgery in 2011 weighing over 300lbs. So I know this should be somewhat easier since I am almost 60 lbs lighter. I have promised myself to be diligent with my rehab. Next knee will be done in September if all goes well. I pray I am not just walking, but dancing by Christmas! I am not done losing yet either.
  7. Well tomorrow I get my left knee replacement surgery. I have lost 71lbs since my orthopedic surgeon told me to lose 50lbs so I could get both knees done. Supposed to get other one done in September. Weight loss should make rehab easier. Need lots of prayers and positive thoughts!
  8. I live in Richmond VA. Are you anywhere near me?
  9. I don't know about modified seats but what they do have are sample seats. If you cannot fit in them, you can't ride. One ride I got on but couldn't fasten the safety harness and had to get off, humiliated. I weighed about 312lbs and I'm 5'9". I'm have no doubt that you will be fine and have lots of fun with your skinny self! ?
  10. Been there, last year I went to Busch Gardens and could only ride 2 rides. Good luck and have fun riding whatever you want this time!!
  11. I used to hate tomato soup, love it now. That's the only thing I found so far.
  12. I have the Bariatrics app also. My email is bbzkitchen@yahoo.com. if you start a March group is like to join.
  13. Sounds good, I'm eating soft foods. My doctor told me I can have any soup as long as it's healthy. I had been with bacon, enjoyed it so much. Had cottage cheese also. Still drinking protein shakes to make sure I am getting my protein in!

  15. I wasn't able to and thought I was not following orders. But I tried my best. Stayed full and getting my protein even if I didn't drink quite enough water.
  16. Wow, I was thinking I was doing wrong. Just not able to drink enough clear liquids and the protein. But since I put protein powder in water, I'm golden!! Thanks!!
  17. So sorry to hear the hospital staff is not caring for you properly. I was blessed at St Mary's hospital in Richmond VA! I was kept an extra day, even though I felt ready to go. But they made it pleasant. I see my doctor on Monday to start pureed food. I miss chewing, but staying full on liquids, having bowel movements and little indigestion. Finally weighed myself, lost 8lbs. Progress!
  18. Not a Costco member. Wonder if they have them at Sam's club or BJ's. Love Bone broth.
  19. I'm a little over a week from my sleeve surgery. I was instructed to consume 48-64ozs of clear liquid (water or sugarless drink) and 69ozs of protein in the form of shakes or protein powder in a drink. I stay full!! It's hard to drink all that!!
  20. This is the flavored protein powder from Injury. The chicken soup is great! The Santa Fe chilli is good too. I added the strawberry sorbet to unsweetened lime drink made with apple cider vinegar, great!!
  21. I got a call from my hospital 3 days after my surgery and I was asked if I had consumed 69ozs of protein!! I had not but started working on doing so since the call. Plus 48 to 64 ozs of clear liquids. Didn't think I could but I have a system. I drink 3 20oz bottles of water plus a couple of sugar free jello cups. I drink 1 or 2 protein shakes which is 30ozs of protein and switch between 1 or 2 protein powders which are 21ozs of protein each. If I add powder to Bone broth that's another 2 ozs of protein/ 4ozs of broth. So between 6am and midnight I get it in!!
  22. I ordered some from Unjury.com. I got the introductory package, it was about $22. Good deal, 2 envelopes of 6 different flavors, a Shaker bottle and sample vitamins.
  23. One week since sleeved. One week until I can eat pureed food. I'm doing fine on liquids. Flavored protein powder is a life saver!! Have used in a variety of ways. Will remember what you went through when you started food. Thank you for the heads up!!
  24. I hope I feel the same in a few days. Went to see my PCP, haven't lost a pound!?
