    mzchyll924 got a reaction from Lauren87 in Lap-Band to Bypass Revision w/Insurance
I am a lap band to sleeve gastrectomy. My surgery is scheduled for 11/22/19. I have a nasty slip with my babe which I'm convinced happened after my gallbladder removal sx. I gained haha of what I lost after the gallbladder sx. Fortunately I have Tricare and all will be covered. I know a young lady who when to Mexico to Pompeii Bariatric. They seem to be reasonable and may work with you. Check them out. Can't hurt. You need to get that thing out if nothing more.

    Hi,
Revision type, timing and approval is very individual. You need to consult your Surgeon for accurate answers.
While you wait perhaps can track your food meticulously and even join us in some of the threads that refocus your lifestyle/habits:
You may find that you can reach your goals without revision surgery ?
    Good Luck

October 3rd! I'm nervous! And also excited!
Btw, thanks for labeling this thread "2018." There are two other October threads that don't have the year marked, and I really hope some of us stay in touch through 2019 and 2020, at least. No sense in confusing next year's sleevers!

I didn’t take before pics because I hated the way I looked. My starting weight was 311, currently at 235.. I couldn’t take a serious pic! Lol

    Hello,
I am in your same boat x2 I originally had band place in 2005. Then revised in 2014, however it failed me again. Converted to sleeve on 02/18/2019. Hope it goes well for both of us post lap banders.

I had lap band surgery in 2010 and it worked amazing until 2016 when my band slipped. My band was removed and I was told I would probably gain all the weight back and have to do another weight loss surgery.

I've been so depressed the past two years as I watched the scale go up and felt powerless. In August I decided to look into the Gastric Sleeve. I had my surgery on 2.7.19 and in many ways, it feels like starting over again. I am motivated to be successful and to have this be lasting weight loss this time.

Hey everybody. This is my first time ever going into a forum. I had my surgery in March 2010. Nine years ago in just a few weeks.
Originally, I lost 175 pounds. I bounce up and down. But, overall I am doing well with maintaining.
I’ve learned how to eat again and I do well with that. My issue is when I consume alcohol. Something is not clicking and telling my body that I’ve had enough. I am a social drinker. Unfortunately, when I do drink, sometimes I tend to just keep going.
In nearly 9 years, I still can’t figure out how to get my body accustomed to it. Like I said, food is not an issue. I know when I’m full. I also know that my stomach cannot absorb alcohol like it used to. Has anyone else had this experience and if so how do you manage it?
Any help is appreciated. I’m more than happy to answer anyone’s questions as well.
