Hi, I am Babs and I was banded on Dec 20 in New Jersey. I have lost 50 lbs so far and learned about this group through a friend of my mother's--JudiM who is a member of the August club. She has a great blog that I started reading before my surgery and it has really helped me. Stories from the road....... The only people who know I had my surgery is my mom and my sisters and Judi (who I only know through the internet). I am coming here to meet others and possibly find some friends who may live near me too. Because of the kind of job I have and the people I associate with because of my job, I could not tell anyone about this. It has been a very lonely stretch. I am looking for this wieghtloss to change my life. Just coming here and saying these things is probably a good start to changing. I would have never done this before. I really want to meet people and maybe even that one special person (not an advertisement, please know) Thank you and I look forward to being in your group. Babs

Hi Judi and all! I finally made it to this board after months of saying I would! I'm an avid reader of Judi's blog (it's amazing! I will forever be indebt to her for having it). I became internet introduced to Judi through my mom who belongs to a woman's creative group with her. Judi is the only person outside of my mom & sisters who know I had this surgery done and she encouraged me to come here and meet others and talk. It took me awhile, right? No one in my circle knows about this mostly because of what I do for a living. My job is among the "beautiful people". I was banded in Dec and lost 50 so far. Not an August group person but I wanted to SHOW JUDI that I finally got my a*s here! HI ALL! You all seem so nice and together. I am trying! I look forward to dropping in here if that is allowed.
