I had the duodenal switch on June 4th and getting in liquids and protein drinks have been a struggle. 4 oz every hour seems like soooo much. My pain isn’t that bad but is worse at night. I’m just tired all the time. -

We have the same thing going on. I started vomiting last night and have not stopped. I just really want some water. I throw up everything that goes in my mouth. My surgeon came by today and added more anti nausea meds. -

I think I’m next. I’m scheduled to arrive at the hospital at 530 in the morning and my surgery is at 730. I had to do the 2 week liquid diet and all clear liquids today. My nerves are so bad right now. -

Hi guys! I went to the hospital this morning for type match testing and while I was there they got me registered. So I’m wearing a hospital bracelet until Tuesday!🤦🏾♀️ This liver shrinking diet has me so sleepy. I don’t want to see another shake for a long time. -

I start my liquid diet Tuesday. Luckily on our plan, we get to have 2 full meals per week. -

Wow a lot of us have birthdays soon too! I start my liver shrinking diet on the day before my birthday. At first I thought it would suck but I have started looking at it as a way to celebrate without food. -

Hi there! I’m Ashlay. 38 years old until Wednesday and have one daughter. I originally started my journey in 2017 and got to the end of the process to learn my insurance had an exclusion. I no longer have that insurance and am scheduled for my fully covered duodenal switch on June 4th.
