  1. Oh, maybe I am just paranoid then... I just feel like I am waaaaaaaay below average for post op weight loss.
  2. Thank you! I am trying really hard! I know, I felt so silly saying "only 55 pounds" ! Thank you! And good luck on your journey!
  3. I had VSG 04/08, and I have only lost 55 pounds total, including what I lost before surgery. I exercise every day! Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas on how to help?
  4. We have around the same beginning stats! I go for the sleeve 04/08. Good luck with your pre op diet!
  5. VSG scheduled for April 8th! Height? 5'5 Starting weight? 293 Goal weight? 160
  6. Thanks! I guess they got it all figured out! My doctor's office called yesterday afternoon - surgery date of 04/08!!!
  7. Okay, even more weird now. I just got off the phone with my insurance co., she is telling me that the date she sees, 03/18, is my surgery date!?! Makes no sense, my doctors office hasn't scheduled this with me, I am now waiting on a call back from the insurance coordinator to see what the heck is going on.
  8. That is what I was thinking, but the office said they have everything they needed. She said it was a 3 step process and that the last step is done after surgery?? Didn't make any since to me the way she said it. Another thing that is really weird is that on my insurance website, the approval has dates of 03/18-03/19. I am supposed to be getting a call back from the insurance company explaining what those dates mean.
  9. So, my doctor's office sent the information to my insurance 02/15, I called my insurance on 02/25 and they told me that my surgery had been approved. But once I called and talk to the insurance coordinator at my doctor's office she said that that is only the first part of the approval and that we cannot look at scheduling yet. I haven't heard anything back since and its now been almost 3 weeks since submitting. Has anyone else gone through this?
  10. Got news today! I was approved!!
  11. So far, my insurance has only required 3 things: - Past attempts at weight loss (which I gave them weight watchers history, and prescriptions for adipex) - Psych evaluation (which I did online) - Meeting with nutritionist (I did in office yesterday) My doctor's office called today and let me know that once the insurance worker is back in the office tomorrow, she will be submitting to insurance!! Of course they gave me the "It usually takes around two weeks to hear back", but I have seen as little as 3 to 4 business days, so I am hoping for the best! Hoping I will be able to start my journey soon!
