  5. Has anyone actually tried picking up a couple dumbbells or weights that equal their weight loss? I grabbed two 45lbs plates at the gym today in either arm and couldn’t believe I was carrying 90 extra lbs around not even 6 months ago
  6. It’s like the scale knows you are in a stall and is working on everything it can to beat you down and make you lose hope. I ffirst saw the “270’s” on JUNE 7 (279). Then the range between 275-270 has been fluctuating since JUNE 20. It is now July 23. I have been going to the gym 6 days a week for the last 3 weeks before work eating great and even today it wouldn’t budge past 270.1. Is this even a stall anymore or is it just where I’m going to stop after 90 lbs of weight loss

  9. First 3 months I could do no wrong and lost weight like crazy. This last month has been a very modest (in my terms) 8lbs lost and I’ve been stalled at the exact same weight for 2 full weeks

  11. Happy everyone is still out there and fighting the good fight. From 2-12 surgery date I’m down 71lbs as of this morning and i won’t lie a lot of bad habits are sticking around. Seems like they’re just at a much more scaled back version of my old self. Weight is still coming off albeit slower than before but I know the rude awakening is right around the corner

  17. What is this in reference to? I see a helluva lot more people getting revision surgeries because their sleeve didn’t work than people failing with a bypass

  20. Gaby: I had the same transfer problem when I was off for the 6weeks after surgery. Couldn’t eat so I was gambling heavily on sports. When I went back to work and was busier I slowly did it less and less. Not sure if there is something else to occupy your mind but I get your feeling of wanting to spend ! In response to the average weight loss question, my weight on Jan 1 was 363, operation weight on feb 12 was 347 and current weight 287. So I guess overall weight loss at 3months is 60lbs and since my heaviest 73lbs. I am a little younger than most (I think) 36yrs old and work in a very active field (construction). Although I am pretty loose with guidelines

  22. The three month stall is real! I have been averaging 4-5lbs per week since surgery day and alas this past week only 1.2lbs

  24. What’s the word on fresh fruit and veggies now? I was always told strawberries etc with seeds had to be like months post
  25. Taylor: I feel the same! Like I tried to gorge in month two and now I’m eating even less than I was and I’m at three months tomorrow. I think everyone just hits that reality of what you can and can’t handle.
  26. I gotta start getting on the ‘sharing’ plate routine but when in London you order

  28. Haven’t posted for a while but I was on vacation in Europe for a week then had my brothers wedding this weekend. I am literally eating and drinking anything at this point and I just hit 71 lbs lost (surgery feb 12) Everythinganna I’ve been bad with the booze as well but lately I’m noticing how much water it takes me to replenish and it’s *kind of making me slow it down. I’m still keeping a protein shake for breakfast and a nice protein rich lunch but after work there is usually a Bloody Mary or glass of wine at home with some cheat foods. I just can’t seem to eat enough to not lose weight at this point

  30. I can see it as well Sheri! I’ve also had not many people Make any comments (except mom) but I’m at about 61 lbs lost since Xmas. I’m about to get on a plane to England and Spain for a week holidays and I’ve already told myself I’m just going to enjoy myself. Of course after a 6lbs weight loss two weeks ago and then a 5lbs week last week my scale is on the stubborn number of 301!!!!

  32. I had the bypass and they had me on a protein pump inhibitor until just this week. Haven’t felt any heartburn or reflux unless I eat too close to bed. I’m exactly 2 months from surgery and I’m able to eat pretty consistently 900-1000 calories a day
  33. Sld : in my pre screening they discovered I had severe sleep apnea ( November) I was having about 40-45 apnea’s per hour. Having lost about 55lbs now I was retested on Friday and I’m down to .8 per hour... doctor said I don’t need the machine anymore and we can re test in a couple months! I wish you all the luck in the world
