Hey all! I haven’t updated in awhile. I’m 15 days Post-Op and down 23lbs. I’m on soft foods and I get to add moist meats in 2 weeks. So far so good!

I can’t wait to be home! I agree with the room temp water, it does seem to go down easier. It’s surprisingly difficult to get our water intake up where it needs to be. We’ve got this though!

Joe how are you feeling?! I will hopefully get released today. I had an allergic reaction to my pain meds and then I had a steroid to help with inflammation. I feel a lot better today! I’m proud of us! ❤️??

That was the same timetable I had! I feel a little worse today but still alright. I’m glad you did well! ❤️❤️

Hey all! I went in for a DS yesterday at about 1. Some problems arose and my surgeon decided that a sleeve was my best option. If all goes well I will be released tomorrow!

I got to drink 100% grape juice!!!

That’s good to know! I am pushing fluids and trying to get plenty of rest. I will be so sad if my surgery gets pushed!

Hey guys! I’m 4 days into my liquid diet, my surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday 2/27. Yesterday I started having symptoms of a cold! ? I seriously hope that I can kick it before Wednesday! Please send prayers and good vibes!

Hey! I just wanted to maximize my weight loss. I am young and have had high blood pressure since I was 20. I wasn’t really interested in RNY and the sleeve alone was no longer an option after my pre surgery Upper GI. When I had my gallbladder removed last year the surgeon damaged a bile duct so I have bile leaking into my stomach. My WL Surgeon says the DS will help take care of that issue as well!

I was really stuck between the sleeve and the DS but after my pre-op GI, my surgeon determined that the DS would be my best option due to my increased bile reflux. The DS will hopefully eliminate that. I have a college friend who has undergone the DS and has thrived. I researched it for a year before I ever made an appointment with a surgeon.
