  1. Are you drinking with your meals?
  2. I just tried Muscle Milk. It has 22g protein and only a few g of sugar. I found it at Winn Dixie, but I hear that GNC carries it, too. At W/D you can find it near the Slim Fast. I was using the whey protein from Wal-Mart, but it is gritty and not really all that good.
  3. Oh MusicMan, I am so sorry to hear about Pedro. I have a Chihuahua, Dixie Rose, that is just the love of my life (don't tell my husband!). I had a Schnauzer that died of lung cancer at the age of 10. It was like losing a child. I can't tell you how hard I cried for her. Just hang in there. I hope the person that hit him at least had the decency to stop.
  4. Hey, I went to see Dr. Robbins Tuesday. He does indeed accept military patients. Do you have TriCare ins? He accepts it, also. I had my first fill....had some complications trying to do it though. Dr. Robbins finally had to take me down to Radiology and do it under the flouroscope. So far, I've lost 30 lbs.!! Woo-hoo!! Let me know when and where you decide to get banded.
  5. I have BC/BS of Alabama and I had my surgery in Dothan, AL. The insurance paid all but the $100 copay for me. Dr. Scott Robbins in Dothan is who I used. He's great! I had my band on May 21st and to date have lost 29 lbs. You may want to check him out instead of going all the way up to Dalton, GA. It's such a long way!!
  6. I don't know if he takes military patients or not. I've got an appt. on Monday and I'll ask him. He should, with Ft. Rucker right here at us. I'll post an answer when I get home Monday.
  7. Hi, with Dothan being so much closer, any chance of transferring your care to Dr. Robbins? I'm not sure how that works. I haven't had a fill yet. I'm scheduled to see him on July 1st. I'm sure I'll get one then. Do you have any pain around your port area? I've been walking lately and I've been hurting a little...more like a soreness. I'm excited about the whole process, though. Can't wait till I can notice a difference in the way I look. My PCP just took me off one of my BP meds yesterday! I'm on my way!!Yay!!! Keep me posted on your progress.
  8. Hi, I had my band on May 21st by Dr. Scott Robbins in Dothan. So far I've lost 25 lbs but seem to be at a stand-still right now. I find it very hard to drink all the water I'm suppose to. This may be the problem. Anyone else down this way??
  9. Dr. Scott Robbins in Dothan is doing them now. I just got banded by him 5 days ago....he's wonderful!
  10. I got banded on May 21st. I'm still a little sore but no pain to speak of. I'm very excited to see the "new" me!!
  11. Hi! I'm scheduled to be banded May 21st, also. Dr. Scott Robbins Alabama
