Anyone from New Braunfels, or San Antonio area. Dr. Wright at the Nix center will be doing my surgery and I was just wandering if there is anyone who had Dr. Wright as their Surgeon. Hope to have my surgery in September.

Thanks Lisa, I appreciate your input. It has so far been a four month process and I still don't have a surgery date. I'm getting frustrated but the excitment of changing my life for the better outweighs that of the annoyances of the process. Have a great day

Hi Everyone, I am so excited that I am finally getting closer to being banded. The doctors reports should all be collected and sent to the insurance company for approvals next week and I am hoping to get banded by the end of Sept. I am a little nervous about the indigestion part of the process. I have it now. I love chocolate, but then who doesn't. :biggrin: Even though you are not hungry after banding, how did you all stay away from the bad stuff. Do you lose enough weight to keep energized to continue the plan. I'm so scared that I will sneak chocolate like I do now. How do you be "good". I would appreciate anyones advise. Thanks, FourPaws

I am new to this process and to chatting in a chat room support group. I am starting the process of LapBand surgery through Nix Health System in San Antonio. I had my first meeting with Dr. Wright and will meet with the Nutrionalist and Psyh on July 1. I need the surgery to not only lose weight but to help curb some pretty tough back pain due to previous spine surgeries, etc. I am hoping that this support group will help me prepare for my new way of life. Plus hopefully I will be able to encourage others by discussing my journey over the next year or so. I will appreciate any insight that is available as I would like to know what this adventure as I will call it will entail.
