  1. OMG same thing for me. The first 3 days were the WORST for me! The gas pains had me at a "pain level 9!" I am now 9 days post op and I will say- it DOES get better!!!! I am now able to get in all my meds, my protein drinks, my "other" liquids, and exercise. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Trust me, I was ready to give up those first 3 days.
  2. Yes, Gas Ex Chewables. A nurse at the hospital tried the alcohol wipes on me and it made me gag and feel naseaus.
  3. The worst for me was the gas pain. Gas Ex and walking worked best. Other than that, I was just tired, but rather "normal."
  4. I am one week post op from VSG and I have lost no weight since my surgery day. My doctor said that this is normal and it's even normal to gain some weight due to the swelling. So, my question is....WHEN will the weight loss start happening?
