KatiT47 reacted to Wickedwinner in I don’t feel much different!Same for me. Was sleeved 12/14 and I don’t feel much difference. I can drink no problem, and I mean big gulps! I’m hungry all the time. Not the old hungry, but a not real satisfied hungry. I eat something every two hours. About 1/2 cup to a cup. I’m never overly full. It’s hard to explain. I tolerate everything I’ve tried so far. Haven’t lost that much either. I had lost 10 pounds at my one week appt but have only lost 2-4 since then. I try not to weigh often as to not get discouraged. Waiting for this restriction to kick into high gear!

KatiT47 got a reaction from Coexister in I don’t feel much different!I’m 7 days out and I have no problems drinking water or anything. I don’t have any discomfort really and I am so worried that my surgery didn’t work. I am afraid that I will be able to eat without problems when that time comes.

KatiT47 reacted to GradyCat in I don’t feel much different!I'm just now starting the soft foods phase 3 weeks post-op, and I can already tell that food makes a big difference from liquid. I can eat so very little before feeling full, which is a good feeling knowing that the surgery has worked. I've lost 15 pounds and 16 inches already in 21 days, so I know it's working and will continue to work if I just be patient and follow the program.

KatiT47 reacted to Van C. in I don’t feel much different!Surgery 12/17 and I'm feeling the same way! Surprisingly easy recovery so far. I can get the liquids down easily. Maybe we're just lucky? Let's hope that's the case! Good luck.

KatiT47 reacted to magpie26 in I don’t feel much different!Be happy! I couldn't get all my liquids in for months! My face looked different (take a selfie every day or every few days) but I felt like my body wasn't doing anything. All the sudden my 24s turned into 18s overnight. I have the fullness restriction but no foods bother me. 104 pounds down!

KatiT47 reacted to Orchids&Dragons in I don’t feel much different! You're one of the lucky ones! People only feel restriction with fluids if they have a lot of swelling which makes it difficult for the liquid to trickle through the stomach. Liquids don't stay in your pouch, but just "slide" through into your intestines. You won't feel real restriction until you get to soft foods.

KatiT47 reacted to DonRobbie in I don’t feel much different!I'm exactly a week post-op (DS) and it seems to vary from day to day, even hour to hour, how much restriction I feel. Sometimes it's pretty dang easy to get fluids down, other times it's a slow struggle. I have felt a few times like I didn't have much restriction even though I know perfectly well I did get a sleeve and all the rest (I watched the screen while I did my barium swallow).

KatiT47 reacted to pinkbunies in I don’t feel much different!Your surgery worked. It takes time. Have you had the big bowel movement yet ? Within three months nothing will fit. Get ready for it And hang in there.
