  1. I am just in my pre op diet phase. Surgery in 1 week ?. Anyway, I had bought whey protein powder and it was awful!! I brought it back and switched it for Purely Inspired Organic Protein Powder. 100% plant based. Delicious ! No comparison They sell it at Walmart. Amazingly Amazon has it too, but it is almost 2x the price.
  2. Call the hospital and ask to speak to the director of nursing. I cannot believe that she is getting away with it. Because you know that it is not just you that she’s treated that way, and will continue to do unless stopped!! At the very least, she should be fired and/or arrested for a hate crime.
  3. I was also put on a 2 week pre op diet. 2 shakes and 1 small meal. 1000 calories a day. I was told the same thing about shrinking the liver, thus making the surgery easier. Also, it prepares your body for the way it was going to be working after the surgery to break down food. Just on this diet, in 5 days I have lost 7 lbs!
  4. My surgery is 4/16. Less than a week away! ? Really looking forward to it though. Lost 7 lbs already on the presurgical diet Gastric bypass 5’2 Starting weight 207 Goal weight 140-145
  5. I don’t know if you have gone yet to your appointment or not. But there is absolutely nothing to worry about. They will explain things to you and you ask anything you want to know. If you do not feel comfortable, they are not the right team for you! Good luck!
