I agree!! And taste bud hunger! I dont want the food to go down my stomach, I just wanna taste it in my mouth!! It was a mental battle all day yesterday! I hope that gets better!

I've been taking my meds while since first day post op. It hasnt been bad.

Surgery was at 730 this morning! I've slept most of the day. Had some nausea but nothing the meds wouldn't take care of. Been sipping water and eating ice chips. Pain meds have kept pain under control. Gas pain has been the worse out of the three, but walking and moving around does wonders! Honestly feeling really good and happy! Hope this eases some minds of those who may be nervous! We got this!!

I live 3 hours from where I'm getting my surgery. I have a pre surgery appt tomorrow afternoon then surgery on Tuesday. So we are leaving tomorrow morning and staying in a hotel then surgery! I can't believe its here! I'm super excited..right now anyways. I go back and forth between nervous and excited. I've stuck to the clear liquid diet religiously, so surely I can do this!! Well, that eases my mind. I'm on the clear liquid diet right now and I'm sticking to it strictly! So I hope that helps! Lol

That's great! So happy for you! I've been reading a lot of posts about people being super nauseous and throwing up a lot after surgery. Wondering if that was normal for everyone or what!

NERVOUS! EXCITED! NERVOUS! Starting my liquid diet on Tuesday the 4th and surgery is the 11th!

My surgery is the 11th! I'm with you. I've only told my husband, kids and mother. I'm super afraid of the negativity that I will have to face. I've talked with some of my friends about having this surgery in the past and they talked me out of it. Since then I've gained 10 lbs. That was just in February! I'm too nervous to approach them again. I'm doing this for me!! I don't think they understand how hard it is for someone who has weight issues. I don't know...I just hope I get the love and support I need from others if not from them! Good luck to both of you!!!

I hear you! I just know that the liquid part is temporary and I cant lose the weight I need to on my own. Just remember its gonna be hard but it will be worth it!

Yes, I start the liquid diet on Dec 4th!

I'm scheduled for a Gastric Sleeve on Dec 11th! Super excited and super nervous too!
