  1. I do have rosacea and it has flared up since surgery. I also find my face gets hot and flushed with blood sugar spikes since surgery.
  2. I was sleeved 11/1 and today I have reached 30lbs since surgery. They weight loss has not really stalled, but is slower this last month. I also need to pick up on the exercise. I severely sprained my ankle 2 weeks after surgery so that has been limited to physical therapy 2 times a week. Hoping to hit the gym starting next week. Keep up the good work!!!
  3. I had an EGD before surgery and had mild inflammation at that time. I was negative for H. Pylori, but did have severe reflux prior to surgery. If you were negative for H. Pylori whatever they gave you to take after surgery ie prilosec, pepcid...should help with inflammation.
  4. Amazon sells Gatorade Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I was sleeved on 11/1. I had both. Doc fixed my hiatel hernia. I only have heartburn if I eat too much. I have learned very quickly not to eat too much lol
  6. I found if I did not get my protein and water in I stalled. I genepro feom Amazon, GNC has it as well. It is a small amount of powder for 30gm of protein. I add it to my water with some crystal light or MIO. Can get 60 to 90gm in easily while also getting your water in.
  7. Low potassium or magnesium can cause as well.
  8. I never had this problem either. Was 5 days post op with colace. I take colace daily and need a smooth mouth tea every other day to go every 3 to 5 days and I am 4 weeks out.
  9. Pinterest and kindle have some good resources as well. I got a free stage 2 and 3 booklet on Kindle.
  10. I found that the whey powders made me bloat and feel very uncomfortable. I switched to premade shakes, isopure and genpro. Since then the bloating has mostly disappeared.
  11. First 3 days were rough. After that I was able to get my protein shakes and 48oz of water in daily. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Started phase 2 one week after surgery. Found I do well soups, pudding, and premade shakes. I can do Unjury powder shakes but all other powder shakes made me nauseous and bloated. Today is my 2 week mark. First day of phase 3 for me is Thanksgiving!!! Good luck.
  13. Good luck!!! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I did ok on Unjury unflavored and chicken broth when I could get them to mix well with fluid. And god, whatever you do don't heat them up to much or they will cook on top of the fluid. I am not to keen on cold chicken broth. When I started the flavored whey powder products, I ran into the problem of discomfort and gagging.
  15. I am 2 weeks out tomorrow. I started having this problem yesterday. Started drinking slower, that did not help. Only seems to happen with powder protein. If I have a ready made shake or soup, I am fine, but any protein powder makes me uncomfortable and has me gagging.
  16. Hang in, first 3 days were the worst. Things should start to get better from here. I did not hit my 50 protein until Day 4. Walking helps the gas move through faster. Hope this helps.
  17. Good luck!!! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. Ohhh, be patient. My first 2 days was water only, day 3 maybe protien hit 25. By day 5 I was at 50. Day 11 today. I am now getting 5 to 6 meals in, 58 to 60 protien and at least 48oz of water in daily. You will get there, hang in.
  19. I drank clear liquids for 7 days. I had nausea for the first week. I did find when I did the sugar free popsicles, I had diarrhea. None since I stopped them. They gave me the pain med I am allergic to so I had to stop taking it. I found I did not have much pain after day 5. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. Unjury products have a clear broth and unflavored choice to add as well.
  21. I started with hunger pains on day 6, hopefully they will stop soon. I do fill up often before I am done with each meal. I am still not quite to the 60 fl ounce mark yet, maybe tomorrow. I am able to get the 60 protein in with peanut butter powder added to each shake, otherwise, I would be closer to 50. Everything tastes so sweet, YUCK Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  23. I had to do 2 weeks of shakes for breakfast and lunch with a low fat dinner ie chicken, fish, or low fat pork and a veggie. Lost 1.5lbs lol, that is why I decided on surgery. To many years of yo-yo dieting played havoc with my metabolism. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. Had mine the first. My mother does Thanksgiving this year. It is my first puree day and first night back to work. I plan on making my own food and bringing it. We also have Friends-giving on Friday, so everyone's left overs. I will also bring my own. Biggest worry is the deserts. I love, love pumpkin pie lol. Husbands class reunion is the next night so no eating or drinking, just socializing for that one. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. Yesturday was my last for clear liquids. I was panicking too. I did water only the first 2 days, when I got home, I had isopure tea and Unjury chicken broth as well as sugar free popsicles and jello. I did have problems getting all the protein in 1st day home but since then it has been smooth sailing. La weight loss has a cappaccino powder to add to decaf coffee if that is your thing. I luckily had no problems with food temps but be careful with hot or cold at first. Today, I am looking forward to my homemade chicken soup stained and Farina!
