    Dating after surgery

I have just lost my first 50lbs and I am starting to get a lot more confident in myself. I have started using the dating apps and now that the possibility of dating is more real I am starting to get really freaked out. Has anyone starting dating soon after surgery? These are the things I am nervous about: - they will think my minimal eating is weird (I am not 100% open about having the surgery and don’t want to have to explain my situation to every tinder date.) - most people want to meet up for a drink but I’m still not drinking alcohol - even though I am much more confident I still have a ton of insecurities about my body so I’m not sure I will be ready for an intimate relationship if the time comes and I don’t want to waste anyone’s time. Anyways any thoughts and advice are appreciated. I’m just excited to start dating but also scared.
  2. I’m from Ontario. I was told by my family doctor that I would need to be referred to a specific office located in Guelph that deals with OHIP covered WLS. It could take a while to get that appointment. From there you are assessed and have to go through 6 months to a year of trying to lose weight on your own with a supervised diet before they will put you on the list. Once on the list, you could wait anywhere from 2-4 years for the surgery. After learning about this process, I decided to self pay and was sleeved on Dec 13th. I don’t have any sort of benefits through work but I will be writing all of the medical expenses off on my taxes. I’m not exactly sure how much I will get back but I will at least be getting some sort of return to help offset the cost.
  3. I am having the vertical sleeve surgery in less than a month, and one of the things that I am really concerned about is the hair loss. Does anyone have any recommendations for products or supplements that really worked for them? I would like to start taking something now so that I am getting ahead of the problem.
  4. I am planning for when I have the VSG surgery and am wondering if one week is enough time off of work. I have a 9-5 desk job so it is not the pain I am worried about. But more the emotional toll of being on a liquid only diet and How long did you take before going back to work?
