  2. Lol! Put in Bypass'ing in November 2018. Then look for the group tab, I think it opens on posts. If you still can't find it I think I can add you if you send me your email address.
  3. LOL i did the EXACT same thing!
  4. You've got this Lucybear! Let us know how it goes.
  5. Hi there!!! You are more than welcome: Feel free to join our facebook group: Bypass’ing in November 2018
  6. !!! Found it !!!
  7. Should it be a closed group instead of private? The only bypass nov facebook group is one for those in Australia
  8. That's awesome! I was born in Springfield, have tons of family still there. I'll be at Norwalk Hospital with Dr. Neil Floch. The hospital is literally 6 minutes from my home, and the doctor's regular office is 1 mile from my house. The first time I went there i was just mentally kicking myself, like this could not have been any more convenient...no excuses for not following through now!
  9. xxtrinaxx, for some reason it's not showing up! I'm definitely game to be in a Facebook group, though!
  10. I love this! I just turned 32 and my doctor also said I may not have some of the complications others might have since I'm so "young". Jessie what part of CT are you from? I live in Norwalk now, but used to live in the Hartford area.
  11. That doesn't sound silly at all! I can't wait to stop pretending that I don't want to go to amusement parks, just because I can't fit in the seats. I travel for work a lot, and will be ecstatic to stop covertly using a seatbelt extender. Since we are getting the surgery in November, apparently I've heard that 40% of our excess weight will be off in 6 months. That's just in time for summer! I can't wait to get back to kayaking/canoeing/hiking/biking...and really just being able to walk without dreading that my lower back is going to start screaming in agony after a minute. I'm scared about the surgery, definitely...but I also can not WAIT!
  12. Mousecat88 exciting! My op date is November 5th, and pre-op diet for me begins on the 20th I think. I've been doing 80% of the pre-op diet already for the last couple of weeks... greek yogurt for breakfast, 1 protein shake for lunch, another greek yogurt for a work day snack. Then I've been having chicken and veggies or salads for dinner. I've really enjoyed this process of basically eating what I'll be having for 2 weeks before and after the surgery. Honestly, its not bad. I haven't weighed myself yet, but this may be the first time I can't wait to see the scale whenever I go to my pre-op appointment this Friday.
  13. Hi Serifa, go to the top right to your username, click the down arrow and go to Surgery Info. It looks like you can edit information there.
  14. I didn't realize this group was also on FB as well! I feel like there is this whole new underworld of bariatric members and support groups that I had no idea existed. It makes me wonder if I had found groups like this earlier, would I have decided to go for it earlier as well! Definitely excited to stay connected and share this journey with all of you :)
  15. Surgery date twins!!
  16. November 5th for me! I'm terrified, but started drinking the Premier Protein Shakes and Greek yogurts for breakfast and lunch about 3 weeks ago. I'm happy that those, to me, are incredibly filling...which makes me a little worried about how hard it will be to force down anything once our stomachs are tiny :/
