  1. Venting Post: I am having a rough month the scale hasn’t moved... i have been fluctuating 5lbs for a little over a month now and i talked to the nutritionist and she said what i am eating is good i’m around 900-1000 calories a day, at least 90oz of water if not more, i haven’t really had a workout routine yet but i make sure i get in a minimum of 10000 steps a day( just until i can get my work schedule set) Every single day i try to make the healthiest choice!! I plan ahead most of the time but there is always that occasional cheat food i might eat if i am not prepared for the day. I went to see my surgeon for my post op visit and i have lost about 50lbs but he said i should have lost at least another 20lbs by now... So i am really discouraged and I can feel myself slipping into old habits !!!
  2. My surgery is friday 10/26 and i have been having a hard time with my Pre Op diet.... i can’t stop snacking on things i shouldn’t be... and i know i shouldn’t but because i can’t have them i want it more, i really hope my surgery doesn’t get canceled i know i can do this, i don’t know why i can’t stop my self.
  3. I have cheated on my pre op diet and my surgery is friday !!! ..... i feel really guilty, but i am having such a hard time.
  4. Ugh, so many questions... I guess we just have to figure it out as we go. Are you going to be on a 2 week liquid diet?
  5. 23 days until my surgery day!!! I am getting a little nervous, not so much about the surgery it self but more about the pre liquid diet, and the after. A few questions on my mind. How will my body adjust? How much loose skin will I have? How will I start going to the gym? what kind of workout can I do? do I need a trainer? Does everyone get nausea & gas? (Any tips to help) What was it like to go back to work? Anyone else out there with an October 24-26th 2018 surgery date? - I need a surgery buddy!!?
  6. @TexasMommy80 yeah I am the same way. but what about right away following the surgey, my doctor said I would be very fertile and should consider going on some type of bc. He said it wouldn't be very wise to get pregnant for at least 1 & 1/2 years after the surgery date.
  7. Looking for the best birth control option for after vsg surgery.... i know my doctor said i had to wait a few months after the surgery to go back on it but i was on the patch before but it made me very sick i had to stop, anyone have luck with the implanon stick?
  8. thanks @bettie.blu i will definitely try to shake it off.
  9. I feel the same way!! I am nervous for the liquid diet not so much the surgery..
  10. HI, So I have been waiting 2 years for this surgery, and I keep hearing people saying having support is 1 of the most important things. But I am feeling very unsupported right now, Everyone keeps saying "why dont you try losing weight the "normal" way" ( as if I haven't been trying to lose weight every other way possible)". I dont know how I am going to do this without any help, am I going to be able to break my bad eating habits ? Am I going to be able to motivate myself? How am I going to feel when something goes wrong or I'm not feeling well, will anyone understand or try to blame the surgery.
