  1. Hi everyone, I am 4 days past surgery and tonight, my port site has a yellowish discharge and is a little itchy. The steristrips are still on as is the clear plastic bandage but it's leaking. It's got me scared. Anyone experience anything similar? thanks.
  2. I had my surgery Tuesday. The gas pain was pretty bad but better today. I still have pain in my chest though and hoping that is gas too....Good luck to you.
  3. I was banded May 6th, would like to hear from those of you banded same day!! thanks
  4. Can you tell me the symptoms? I was just banded on Tuesday and have some pain behind my breatbone, seems to come and go and doesn't seem to just happen when I ingest something. The pain is sharp.
  5. I was banded on Tuesday, still have shortness of breath, anyone else have trouble taking a deep breath? and yes I am still pretty swollen too. The gas pains are getting less each day too. Soups seem to help me.
  6. Hi I am 3 days post band and have same issue but since we are only ingesting liquids, I guess I am not surprised.
  7. Congratulations!!!!!! You are really inspirational and I appreciate all the time you take to answer people's questions. Thanks for being a good cheerleader for everyone else.
  8. I keep taking the GasX strips, I think they are helping but the pain just seems to shift to a new spot. Still hurts to take a full breath but called the doctor and they said that was normal. Thanks for your replies and encouragement. Gralda
  9. Hi everyone, got my band yesterday. The gas is really the toughest part, trying to walk every hour to see if it helps. Did anyone also have a hard time taking a deep breath? It hurts a lot right under my breast bone when I try to breath normally. Gralda
  10. Thanks to everyone who writes on this board. I get my band tomorrow morning at 8 am. I am very excited and not as nervous as I was before I started to read this board. I will let everyone know how it goes. Thanks again!!
  11. thanks - I am hoping that will be my story in 6 months!!!
  12. Hi Everyone, this forum is wonderful, I have learned so much from reading everyone's posts but I admit what I have learned has increased my fear factor. I am most scared of the PB and choking because of it. My sons aren't too excited about me doing this but my husband is very supportive. I haven't told anyone else. I appreciate all your candor.
