  1. Hello, I was banded on 6/18 by Dr. Choi. He is great!! I am not sure if he will take you, but I would try. He works out of the Miramar office and a Hialeha office. I love the Miramar office and hospital facility. It is located near Miramar Parkway and I-75
  2. Hi Sassylily, I was banded on Monday 6/16. I am feeling a lot better today. It was a little bit rougher than I thought. I know in a few months we will all be happy. I gained one pound after surgery and I have lost 3 more pounds including the 10 pounds before surgery. Good luck
  3. Hi Nahyeera, I searched for the right hospital and have fallen in love with Memorial Hospital in Miramar. They have the best service. I have been there for the seminar, ultrasound, and upper GI in preparation for my surgery. The service is the best. I am having surgery with Dr. Choi. He is really nice and his staff is great. My entire process took 4 weeks. I have been struggling with my weight for 10 years. I am ready to get rid of it once and for all. I am nausea and am sick to my stomach and I am just on the clear liquid diet. Your mind maybe ready, but your body might have a different say, so be prepared. Good luck
  4. Hi All, I have been struggling with my weight for the last 10 years. I decided to make a change this year. I tried for 3 months on my own and lost 8 pounds. I am at 40% BMI. I decided to go for the lap band. I have visited a nutritionist, psychiatrist, and my PCP. I submitted my paperwork and I was approved. The process took about 3 weeks. I will get my band on June 16th. I must of shouted with joy for hours after I received my phone call. :biggrin2: I have never been so happy. I am ready to change and ready to better my health. My doctor is Dr. Choi at Memorial Regional in Miramar. He is very nice and his staff was great. I absolutely love the hospital it is a lot different then any hospital I have ever been to. I bought my clear diet food and shakes and took 3 days off from work, JIC. I am nervous, but I have had several surgeries before and I hope this one works out just as well  I am here to answer any questions about the process, if anyone has any about the process. I am thinking about the website, does anyone already have one???
  5. I am going to Dr. Choi at Memorial Regional in Miramar. So far the staff has been very helpful and Dr. Choi is really nice in person. I went to the seminar and wasn't convinced this was right for me. I gave myself 3 months to really focus on loosing weight and realize, I need this. Dr. Choi is very knowledgable and personable when you go to his office. I am researching and looking up information on his past surgeries. I suggest this for anyone considering any type of surgery. I went for an endoscopy and I was in shock how nice and professional the medical staff was at the Memorial Miramar Hospital. It was refreshing to see the extra care you received. I guess I have been to a lot of bad hospitals in the past. I am still going through the approval process and I should know within 2-4 weeks.
