Just Started Lap Band Surgery Process With Tricare
Army wife here with tricare prime... from my initial visit with my pcm until my surgery date it was only 6 wks! very quick. tricare has been awesome throughout the whole experience! the only issue i had was with my pcm/nurses in the beginning trying to tell me tricare didn't cover it, i had my surgery in 08, very shortly after tricare approved them to be done lol. excited to see so many military wives on here- i had no idea!

13 weeks pregnant, high risk and banded
First off congrats on the pregnancy! i lost an addt'l 25 in the first 14 wks of my pregnancy. (90 lb loss before getting prego) i definatly felt more restriction after getting prego and was only able to eat a few bites of salads and proetein shakes. my drs all told me not to worry, but when they misdated my pregnancy by 3 wks because my baby wasn't growing properly i had issues. everyone is different though neither of my ob's had a clue about how my band was going to effect the pregnancy (based on the fact that they NEVER could answer any of my questions) i took it upon myself and got unfilled for the pregnancy. and beleive it or not- didn't gain anything until after i had my daughter! i'm now struggling to get back on track (which is one of the reasons they say not to unfill). u need to do what you feel is best for you and the baby. only you will be able to decide that though- so if you're not comfortable get unfilled, or at least some of it taken out

Fill Doc in Watertown/Syracuse?!?
Just moved cross country yet again, and having no luck finding a fill doc close by. A friend of mine said that where she goes will be like 2-3 hrs for me. Anyone know of any in the area?

Getting back on track
Its been a very long time since i have been on here- but i'm to the point where i just need the support. I was unfilled at week 15 of my pregnancy due to losing 25 lbs during the 1st trimester and the baby wasn't developing properly. Lucky for me i didn't gain a bit of it back during the pregnancy and gave birth (via c/s) to a healthy baby girl in mid july 09. I went back to get filled a few weeks ago, and to my surprise gained a whopping 40 lbs. which isn't that bad considering the weight i lost early on. but to see that weight on the scale really threw me off. I had lost close to 80lbs before getting pregnant (i dont count the loss during the pregnancy) and i'm having such a hard time getting back in the mind frame of being banded. i'm feeling depressed and when i'm depressed all i want to do is eat...its a vicious circle and i can't seem to get out of it. So how in the world do you get yourself back into that state of mind? i'm sure it doesn't help that i have a very stressful job and we're getting ready to move cross country here in a few weeks! Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
