  1. We always mourn something we used to love and had to give up. Your feelings are valid but thank goodness will pass. I’m four weeks out and I have discovered a strange new energy for cooking all kinds of decadent foods for my family!!! So weird. It’s like I get joy from them being able to have things I can’t. Some recipes have been healthy but lots of delicious things that I won’t tempt any of you with. I’m really looking forward to six months out. Seems like everyone is mostly happy by that point. Keep moving forward!! You’re doing great.
  2. My surgery date was August 13th. It was a rough few weeks!!! I had a terrible case of the foamies and so much mucous --sorry/gross:( But after the 2nd day of my third week my new stomach began to open up and change a little...it let me get some more liquids in, some more protein and some soft foods. It took a great realization for me to understand that everyone won't be able to follow the diet without a little personal modification to suit your own circumstances. I'm positively on the right track now!!! BW 271 / PreOp 255 / currently 3WKs since WLS 236## SupaSTAR
  3. Hi Everyone,

I'm in my 3rd week post-op and have had a very rough time.  I am still on clear liquids as protein shakes and protein drinks make me hurl!!! I've also had a pretty bad case of the foamies.  I'm finding myself with terrible food envy.  Folks bringing their lunch to their desks is driving me insane.  However, today is the first day I feel like I will get all of my fluids in.  That's a plus.  And 30 pounds gone since pre-op is also a bonus.
