    Music Playlist - Pre Op

All food choices. I'll add some to these to what I had when I got VSG in 2012. Bestill - Yolanda Adams The Presence of the lord - Byron Cage Man! I Feel Like a Woman - Shania Twain Kiss you Tonight - David Nail You Look Good - Lady Antebellum Bartender - Lady Antebellum Adding some favorite nursery rhymes for my grand babies....gotta keep them near me
  5. Wondering if the loss was much slower with the revision. I would imagine metabolic system changed dramatically with the original surgery. I realize we are all different but just curious to know what the experience has been.

    Pre -op and Nervous

@jerseyjule went to bed with you in my ear last night. Literally watched your channel until I passed out. So glad someone shared your channel. I can tell you are real, unfiltered and raw with your truth. I'd be lying to myself if I said I wasn't scared and nervous for all the reasons you mention and maybe a couple more but I'm moving forward. I literally am watching my mother fall apart in front of my eyes because she chose not to take good care of her health. That won't be me....forget about Go Home I'm Going Big!

    Pre -op and Nervous

I am right there with you. Scared as hell and nervous as all get out. It's normal and when I talk to myself (often) I tell myself doing something that I fear, demonstrates bravery. It helps me with resetting my thinking. I'm tired of my knees hurting, found out Friday my sleeve is dilated and gastric polyps. If I can stop taking meds for acid reflux (over 10 years), have knees that don't ache and buy a smaller bra (eventually) I'm going for it. You are not alone in this; I got you in prayer. Take a deep breath and get ready to embrace the next chapter in your life.
  8. My thoughts exactly. I just returned from my endoscopy this morning. sleeved over 6 years ago and noticed return of reflux (weight gain) and wanted to check it out. Turns out my sleeve is a little stretched and although I was nervous about bypass, I'm moving forward after today as I am not going back and I know what I didn't do with the sleeve..I fully own my part in this setback. I'm doing the pre stuff for revision to bypass and wondered if I was the only one as this doesn't appear to be a big topic. This is my 2nd chance to get it right.
  9. Going through process to get approved for Bypass after Sleeve. Sleeved in 2012 and have regained the 70 lbs lost. Acid reflux is returning, though it never fully went away. Just turned 55 and wondering about process and healing now that I've gotten older. I was a nervous wreck prior to getting gastric sleeve and once again find myself in that space. Same surgeon so that makes me feel better. He is one of the top bariatric surgeons in country but surgery is surgery. Woke up this morning thinking about bowel obstruction, and long term issues. Anyone over 50 have any issues post conversion?

    Sleeve to Bypass

Summer, we have a few things in common. Absent my weight and bad left knee, I think I'm relatively healthy. other than gastric sleeve, my surgeries have not been elective. The anesthesia certainly adds to the nervousness. Your hubby has been through this and can hold your hand and give you added support. If I didn't chicken out 6 years ago I wouldn't be sitting here now rehashing those fears. The 7th is just around the corner so I'll keep you in my prayers and continue to pray for myself.
