  1. Oops forgot to tell you that my surgery was on October 22, 2007....
  2. I live on the Oregon Coast so have to drive into Portland everytime I have to do one of my checkups. It is so worth it though!
  3. Thank you! I still find it so amazing that the weight I have struggled with all of my life is really coming off! Ever since I hit puberty, I have been the "fat" girl.... I feel like I am on the finest kind of new advendture!!!
  4. I still have the hardest time believing that I am actually getting smaller! I started out wearing a very tight size 26 pants and today I bought a size 14! I brought them home to try on in the privacy of my own home. Not only did they go on but they fit perfectly! I wanted to shout it from the rooftops! I can't remember the last time I was able to wear a size 14! All I can say is THANK YOU Dr. Patterson!! You have given me my life back!
  5. I hit that magic number just a couple of weeks ago and I know the feeling! I have lost a total of 97 pounds since I started my pre surgery diet and I can't believe how great it feels! :tt2::thumbup:
  6. Hi. I just wanted to let you know that the emotions seem to be a "normal" part of the process. In January I had for lack of a better explanaintion a nervous breakdown. I wish then that I had know about this web site it would have calmed my fears so much. I just want to tell you that I got past the fears and tears and now my life just seems to get better and better everyday. Hang in there, it is definitley worth it! :biggrin2:
  7. I am so relieved to find this site. I just went through a very similar situation and had to make a two hour trip to my surgeon to have some fluid removed from the band. I couldn't even get water to go down. Now I am on the mend and my mind is much at ease knowing that it has happened to others. I have been very happy with my band so far and if this is the worst thing that happens then it will all be worth it. I lost 30 pounds waiting to be approved for the band by my insurance and now added to that I have lost a total of 97 pounds. I am indeed happy with my results! Thanks everyone for being here to set my mind at ease.
