  5. The entire process of my pre op visits were based on the rapid weight loss. I wish I knew that on my second week I would stall for almost three weeks. And that was okay. I don’t think the emotional battle in between yourself and what you are becoming is spoken about enough. The first few nights after being out of the hospital I just kept weighing myself over and over again hoping I would magically see a difference on the scale. Before your surgery you can tell yourself all that you want about it not being a quick fix - but when you are waiting to see your weight change it’s an entirely different story. Your mind can do crazy things and you need to be ready to fight your crazy thoughts. I was two weeks out thinking that I was done. I am the person that this surgery will not help at all. With all of that being said , I am the happiest I have been in a very long time. This was the best decision I ever could have made. I have a chance to have a healthy life and be the best me possible. I am stronger then I have ever been. Not physically but mentally. Every little struggle you are going to face and you WILL face some struggles, will be completely worth it. Because YOU are worth it. Maybe I am writing this to inspire you a little. Or maybe it’s just a reminder to myself that I too am able to to do this. But whatever it is. Stay strong, fight the battle and be the best you

  7. I had my surgery 8/13/18. I had the same concerns. My scale did not change for DAYS and that was my first week home too. It’s slowly starting to move again. Don’t forget the shock done to your body. It has to catch up with what’s going on. I was also able to consume quite a bit of liquids as well. You’ve got this. Don’t let yourself get discouraged!
  8. I am 1 week and 1 day post op Gastric Bypass. Today I started puréed food. Everyone talks about how fast they get full. I know I’m probably over thinking this BUT I had 1/2 of a Greek yogurt around 1:00 and around 6:00 I had a 1/2 cup of a creamy soup. In between I also kept up with my protein shake. I’m comfortable but not over full at all like everyone made it sound that I would be. Can anyone give me a little idea what you are or were taking in around this time please :)
