  1. Surgery tomorrow. Waiting for the call today so I know when to show up at the hospital. Ready for the pre-op diet to be over. Post-op diet not easy either, but at least much more variety.
  2. My surgery is Wednesday also. Haven't even thought of what to bring. I know they will supply me with toothbrush, toothpaste, moisturizer. My suggestions lip balm, slip on shoes that are OK for walking the hallway, loose workout shorts to wear under your gown so there are no free shows, hairbrush. I'm not bringing them with me. I'll have hub bring them when I get to a room. You'll just sleep, walk the hallway, and be annoyed by how often you are woken up by people in the middle of the night taking vitals.
  3. Good luck! See you back here in a few days.
  4. 57 here. Getting sleeve on 8/22. I was banded pre-menopause with solid success. But alas, band problems caused removal and regain. I am aware post menopause weight loss may be considerably slower.
  5. I am taking 4 weeks - surgery coming up on 8/22.
  6. Everything will be fine. Your medical team knows what they are doing. And you'll sleep through the surgery!
  7. I hate tracking too - so no advice from me. Catching yourself at 13 pounds is a victory.
  8. Welcome home! Wishing you smooth sailing for your recovery.
  9. Right with you. Had lap band 12 years ago. Dropped 100 pounds and stayed in the 220's for years. Then the trouble started. Dilated esophagus. Slip. Blah blah blah. Had the band removed a year ago - my doc does not do revisions at time of removal - I had to clear up damage first. Horrible weight gain since removal. I'm getting the sleeve next week. Can't wait.
  10. Starting liquid diet tomorrow. I can't believe I'm looking forward to it, but I am. Game on!
  11. New here! I was lap banded years and years ago and had success. But alas, the band slipped. I year without the band now and very much in need of a revision. Surgery scheduled for 8/22. Preop diets starts in 8 days. Looking forward to getting to know you.
