I don’t get it. I had my 10 day checkup today and asked about scrambled eggs. The dietician said that’s not a possibility until week 4 after surgery. WHAT!!!!

How does anyone else prevent gulping? I get so thirsty then I remember and it’s too late and already hurts. I have no clue how this will work when I start working out.

I want to sooo bad I’m 5 days out and my dr is very strict. Yogurt Ricotta Cottage cheese Strained cream soup Pudding And allowable liquids that’s it ?

I don’t see my dietician until the 19th so my food options r still very limited ? what is nsv’s?

Everyone has felt they get a say in what I do with and to my body friends coworkers family members especially all the family at my son’s bday party etc. did I tell them all? nope my mom felt the need to call all of our family and let them know. Even though I’m happy I had the surgery, I’m only 4 days out I’m glad I had it but extremely hard without any cheerleaders in my corner. ? even though my family has told me how stupid this was and what a waste of money it is I’m greateful they kept my 2 yr for a couple days after surgery so I could heal.

Is anyone else having crazy mood swings? I feel like I did when I was pregnant. Little things make me cry ?

I have been having blurriness too I thought it might be from the pain killers.

Wow! 4 days since surgery and I’ve lost 12.2 lbs I know eventually it will slow down but it feels stepping onto the scale and watching the numbers drop. Really helps fight through the pain.

Head hunger is awful. I don’t think I’m hungry but wanna snack so bad. The mental part is rough

b_co you said ur exercising already and u just had surgery 2 days ago?

The dietician and doctor said all of my meds need to be crushed for the first month after surgery otherwise they wouldn’t break down properly.

I hate having to crush all of my meds

Jendkopp a barium test is where they have u drink an oz of barium then they take xrays to Make sure the liquid is moving from ur new tummy to ur intestines. However I had quite a bit of swelling and everytime they checked the liquid did not move. No discomfort or nausea. Just took about 2 hrs for it to start moving they said that time would improve.

I’m sorry to hear ur having such a time Irish. ? but ur doing great keep it up I’ll find what works. Philly day 3-5 suck the worst and are the hardest when u make past that I’ll b ok. Had my surgery yesterday 11 pokes total not counting shots. Really bad gas pains. Failed the barium test 4 times. But on my way home yay!!!!!! Sip sip sip walk walk walk

Yea they gave me bental shots for the gas pain it’s was awful!!!

My surgery was yesterday lots of gas pain but have Not gotten sick at all. They started me on zofran before they did the test

Hi so they ended 8 times to get an IV were even considering putting in my neck ? my surgery got pushed back because of it. Got 2 more for blood draws 10 total. My veins r tiny deep and roll they said the dehydration make it worse. On the bright no nausea lots of pain wish I had ice chips not allowed til swallow test tomorrow ugh. Can’t wait. Been trying to walk

Omg surgery today they poked me 4 times still can’t get the IV in.
