  3. Hi, I am thinking about the "last meals" I want to have before surgery. Any one else eat those things they think they won't be able to after? On my list are Thai Green curry, pancakes and bacon, a good steak dinner with baked potato, and some yummy cereals.. So far thats my list and growing. more about what I can handle now and know it will be many months until i can enjoy any of these things again.. and if i can the tiniest measures.
  4. When i had my c-section they gave me suppositories as pain killers and they were great. They worked quick and no swallowing. I know how awful suppositories sound but seems like a good option post surgery. Anyone had these?

  6. I had the exact same thing.. my ulcer had cleared finally and my new date is 9/13
  7. I just rescheduled my surgery date to 9/13.. changed it cus I was going to be on my monthly and opted to not deal with that at the same time!

  9. I am in Los Angeles and part covered by insurance and I have $3750 out of pocket. Sleep study was with a little machine they sent home with me for one night.. so I can't see that being much.. endoscopy was $700 out of pocket.. but Hernia repair as well during my upcoming surgery..just had my last call with nutritionist to go over pre and post diet plans. Its getting so real!
  10. Oh ya that deep relaxing sleep is right! I had to endoscopies recently and man is that a nice sleep! and it was only 5 minutes! When they say happy juice its cus its so relaxing you feel amazed.. not scared of surgery at all.. can't wait!
  11. That's interesting. I have the feeling they just want my system cleaned out so there is nothing in my tummy for surgery. I am glad I don't have to do weeks of it!
  12. I only have to do one day of liquid diet.. why would that be do you think?
  13. Just got my call.. we are a go for August 30.. they offered me earlier dates but have to sort out my finances to cover the time off.
  14. I had my second endoscopy yesterday and my ulcer has cleared up! I also had my ultra sound, sleep study and a test to see if i have any blood clots. All was good so I should be hearing about my schedule date anytime now! I want to get it done asap as thinking of changing jobs and don't want to start over with insurances!

  19. HI Everyone, I have to go in for some sort of sleep study later in July. Has anyone else had to do this?
  20. I have vacation in 2 weeks so I am going to live up my eating and drinking on vacation then switch to practice mode pre-surgery. I am sad to not have wine for a year :(.. but all in all will be worth it!
  21. I am scheduled for Mid August.. So excited to get it done!
  22. I have to go in for another throat scope to see if a small ulcer has cleared up then can be confirmed for my surgery. If all goes well end of July with the scope, I will be getting the surgery Mid August! Can't wait to get it done and start my new life.
  23. HI! I am new here and just got my date for surgery. I am excited to get this journey going. I qualified with a 35 BMI but I have hernia and high blood pressure. So insurance has covered a good chunk and approved already. Just wanted to say hello!
