  1. Around my 4 month mark my hair starting falling out...alot! I started using the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and it helped make my hair healthier and stronger. My hair has started to grow back, I have lots of little hairs popping up now. I had this happen one other time when I had ankle surgery, the doctor said it was my body's response to the anesthesia. Everyone is different but it should be just temporary, hang in there.
  2. I worry about that too, even though I'm sure it will go through. I started this journey in April and would be really mad if after 9 months I hit an insurance snag. but my friend used this surgeon and their office is on top of the insurance stuff so fingers crossed everything goes through. And I don't think mine's going to feel real until i have that pre-op appointment in the beginning of November that might be when it sets in for me.
  3. My surgery is not till November but I told my immediate family and two friends. My work just knows that I'm having surgery....i just said it was female surgery and left it at that. I'm not embarrassed but I had feared a certain reaction that I did get from one of my very good friends and it was pretty much you just need to eat less and exercise more why would you do this to yourself. So after that reaction I have not told anyone else. It might be different after surgery and I might tell more people but I'm pretty hesitant to tell anyone else. I shouldn't have to explain to anyone that this was an informed decision that was made based on health problems and its not like this process is overnight after I made my decision I started the process in April and the earliest I can have my surgery is November.
  4. Knowing that there's a lot of us that feel like that I think we'll be okay try to hang in there!
  5. Just got my surgery date....November 26th. It seems like forever away and I feel I have more time for panic and worry to set in. Any other November sleevers?
