  1. They definitely don't. I do like this idea of making food an animate object. Thanks for the tip!
  2. So familiar with food waste guilt! I love the idea of blocking out calendar time for a walk, will definitely need to do that.
  3. This is really insightful. If you don't mind me asking, was the switch from food to nutrition something that you thought about or something that naturally happened after the sleeve?
  4. Had to check out myfitnesspal, downloaded and looks like it will be very useful - thanks for the tip!
  5. Thanks for the tip! I'll have a squiz at the my fitness pal app, sounds like it could be very useful.
  6. You're so right! So many times I've fallen off the band wagon because I haven't been organised enough to have healthy options handy.
  7. Congratulations on making the decision! I'm up this Thursday Good luck!
  8. A food log sounds like a great idea. Thanks for the tip!
  9. Thanks - this made me feel a lot better. I am going to see the psychotherapist for some time, I'm learning a lot about myself! Thanks for the well wishes.
  10. On 24 May I'll be getting a gastric sleeve. I work a crazy day job sitting behind a desk for hours on end, rushing from one meeting to the next and eat all kinds of junk whenever I can. I have some serious anxiety/emotional eating issues that I am working through with a psychotherapist. I've booked in for weekly visits post op with the nurse at my GPs clinic so trying to stay accountable. Any other tips on staying accountable with weight loss? Anyone else an emotional eater that may have some advice for me?
  11. I'm having surgery the same day as you but in Sydney! I know how you feel. I've left everything to the last minute and running around trying to get vitamins and meals sorted like a mad man!
