I do well with the broth and shakes. If I try just a lick of real food, especially with any sugar, I have severe diarrhea. I was told by my surgeon that I could take ibuprofen, it has really helped with any pain or soreness. She gave me the 600 strength.
I am shocked someone told you to stop! With those kind of meds you can’t just stop ever. In fact, the reason I went with the sleeve is because my surgeon said I wouldn’t have to give up any of my depression meds with that surgery.
I hope you can find another doctor to get information from. Good luck with everything!
I had surgery June 6 and I’m also still very tired and am always cold. I’m always in sweat clothes in the ac. I find it really hard to get in all my liquids and protein. I was told by my doctor that once I lose weight, I could start to get dizzy and light headed from my blood pressure medicine because I might not need it anymore. Make sure you are all checking on that if you are on blood pressure meds.
Hi everyone, I had the sleeve done on June 6th. Procedure went great! I’m doing my walking in the house. I’m very sore but nothing too bad. I just feel kind of bruised inside. Sneezing and coughing hurt. They gave me a lot of drugs. Two being pain meds. I feel the high dose ibuprofen works better than anything. It’s hard to keep to the three ounces of liquid at a time. Makes it hard to get all the pills down. I’m just glad it’s over with but I feel it’s totally worth it!! Good luck to all of you for your surgeries!!?
