  1. FENTON, Thank you for your advise. I am going to take it easy until my filling. I did great on my pre surgery diet but found it harder to stick with it after surgery, that is weird right? my scars are healing up good too except for that golf bal bump under my port, which I have been reading is normal right? I will be getting my first fill on May 6th.
  2. Hey I was banded on March 27th. I stayed on the liquids for the first week, puree ont he second week but instead of puree this week my confession is that I started soft foods already. I have no side ffects, and I feel great. Has anyone else done that? I am so worried that when I go in for my filling there will be a problem..
  3. Being on my third week I am suppose to be on soft diet. I blend everything and chew alot! It is so hard not eat a regualrl diet since I have no adverse reactions. Does anyone else feel this way? Now I am worried that I advanced myself too soon.
  4. Ok, I finally did it. On March 27th I was banded! After years of losing gaining losing gaining i finally did it. I was starting to feel like a human accordion! First off that 10day diet prior to surgery was so restrictive! I lost 10lbs from that alone! My doctor, Dr. Vittelo from Univeristy of Chicago said it was so he can visualize the liver better...not to torture me. I believe him he is a great guy. My experieince at the hospital was awesome. Just 2.5 weeks after the surgery I feel great. No pain at all. I started off with liquids, puree etc., I know I should be careful but I ate a sandwich last night and had no pain, discomfort nothing. the only problem I have is that at the port site It is swollen the size of a lemon. My husband can not see it but I can feel it. Anyone else has the same experience? Is it because I started regular food early:crying:?
