  1. My husband had his 5/7. He’s eaten a spinach salad. Don’t know if that counts lol What is your meal plan like right now?
  2. Husband didn’t tell coworkers nor any of our families. He doesn’t need any criticism right now. He needs all the support he can get and this is where y’all all come in lol If he chooses to tell them later on that’s his choice. Good luck everyone and I know y’all all will do good!
  3. Well I’m glad to hear this. When I read this to him he laughed and said yes y’all all eat real fast and never noticed it before. Thank you
  4. Yes, we went to the drs and isn’t cleared to start the phase two at 3 weeks. I know every dr is different but he’s been drinking the shakes since the next day and even was outpatient the same day.
  5. Yes exactly. I’m calling tomorrow. I think they are just trying to be cautious but they expect him to been on this clear liquid diet for three weeks and it’s crazy.
  6. He is post op two weeks tomorrow. He ate 1/4 the first day then 1/2 the next day minus the vegetables and eggs.
  7. Well it only says broths and I feel bad for him. Tomorrow is two weeks and I’m calling the nutritionist at the drs to see what else he can have. Other than that we have to wait for him to start on phase 2 which is week 3. I’m going to look into your soup recipe. Thank you and good luck to you!
  8. Thank you never thought of that
  9. That’s so good, you go girl! My husband is doing good other than tired of drinking the shakes and he doesn’t like the broths. So idk what he can really have other than, egg drop soup, sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles. I just feel so bad for him when he are all eating in front of him. I’m trying the best I can to be supportive and not eat bad or in front of him but he says eat whatever. I’m so glad for this site as it helps me and thank you as well.
  10. Yes they did, but it’ suppose to be in stage 2 meaning 3-6 weeks. I guess every surgeon is different.
  11. My husband just had the sleeve done 5/7. He’s drinking his Bariactric advantage high protein shakes, water, sugar free non carbonated drinks, eating sugar free jello, and sugar free popsicles with no problems. The only problem is he’s getting tired of the shakes and doesn’t like the beef and chicken broth. He has had egg drop soup minus the eggs and vegetables. What are some options out there? I know everyone’s body is different but would like to see what everyone had at 2 weeks. Thank you!
  12. I’m so happy to hear this. My husband had the sleeve 5/7. I feel so bad to eat in front of him. You give us hope and I wish the best to you and your family in your journey!
  13. Anyone have it 5/7 or near wanting to see how everyone is doing? Im wanting to get as much support as I can from this site for my husband as he won’t get on here lol Good luck to everyone on their journey!
  14. My husbands surgeon said to wait 6 months but everyone is different. Good luck!
  15. My husband just had his in San Antonio and we had nothing but the best experience. If you have any questions feel free to message me. Good luck
  16. Congrats! My husband had it Monday. He was able to leave the same day of surgery. He is even drinking shakes, eating sugar free popsicles, sugar free jellos, and egg drop soup not the vegetables and eggs in it though. He has already lost 7 lbs. I wish you the best of luck through your journey!
