  1. I choose Detroit because they had an excellent medicare plan and I was able to meet the requirements and they work with me. I tried other clinics clooser to home, and the staff didn't seem to be to be as devoted to get you qualified. I wish you well and ask for OLGA she is one of the special nurses on the Bariatric unit and tell her some on in Arkansas is waiting for an email. Thanks
  2. Hi, I had it done in Detroit Medical Center and i can't say enough good about my experience. The staff was supper and the Doctor great too. I am on my third week of the post surgery. I strongly suggest for you to start walking as soon as you can. Walking right after surger prevents blood clots, and passes gas that is 90% of pain you experience. If possible space the pain meds. I wish you the best and thanks for taking the time to write on the thread.
  3. :smile2:Hi I was banded April 16,2008. I live in Hot Springs Ar. and flew to Detroit for my surgery. I can't say enough positive things about the staff and surgeons there. They were super. I am on my third week on the post eating plan and so far I haven't had any adverse effects. I have lost 12lbs and I am so pleased with myself. I joined this forum to get and give support. :coolgleamA:
