  1. Hi all! I'm scheduled to have my 2nd weight-loss surgery on June 11th. Back in 2010, I had a lap band put in and it worked well for a while but then I started throwing up several times a day. I eventually had it unfilled and haven't done anything since then (except gain over 100 pounds back). I've finally gotten the nerve up again and I'm ready to do this thing. I'll have the sleeve done this time around, plus I apparently have gallstones so I'll have my gallbladder taken out too. Looking forward to the journey with many of you!
  2. If you want to do it, you will make it happen. All good things come to those who wait. The time will fly by and before you know it your surgery date will be here.
  3. I'm scheduled for June 11th so I'm a week ahead of you. I'm nervous but excited. I'm glad to have another person on the same journey as me.
  4. Maygoddess and others, I'm really glad I stumbled upon this thread. I had the lap band done in 2010 and it was a disaster. I did lose about 40 pounds and got down to 204 but then I started to throw up. I puked several times a day. I always had excess mucus and it would basically keep food from going down. It was terrible. I finally had my surgeon let out the band and I finally stopped throwing up, but I also gained all my weight back and then some. I'm scheduled to have a sleeve done on June 11, 2018, and I'm nervous but excited. I mostly nervous about what to do and not wanting to mess this up. I'm glad I'm not alone with the lap band failure. They don't even do those anymore where I live. I should have gotten the sleeve back then but I was too afraid. Stupid on my part. I want to lose weight, be able to go shopping with my daughter and be able to have fun with my kids. I can't wait for this journey to start! Please keep posting your updates. I'd love to know what kinds of liquids you used right after surgery.
  5. Why are you doing the revision? Is it due to reflux or weight loss issues? I currently have the lap band in place and will have that stupid thing removed, but my doctor said I could do either one. I'm perplexed so I'm glad for this thread.
  6. I'm glad you asked this question because I was wondering about my machine as well. Beta98, what kind of machine do you have? I'm interested in this auto cpap thing? However, with weight loss won't we be able to get rid of the machine? Does anyone know?
