  2. I’m glad my post could help someone it’d helped me so much, everyone is so supportive and truly understand the struggle. Day 2 for me as well. Yesterday was much worse for me. Today I’m still a mess but it’s bearable. I think what has helped is that I took an empty bottle of my premier shake and i fill it with water and drink it and then straight after that I’ll drink my protein shake and after that I fill it back with water again and drink it. So for ever 10oz of protein shake I’m drinking 20oz of water YUK! I feel like I’m dry drowning [emoji30] I hate water but this works for me to keep hydrated and I guess fill my stomach more. 3. I’ve been wondering this for a while but still no idea which one is more restrictive. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  4. I’m so glad I didn’t have to lose because I would not be scheduled for surgery since I actually gained while going through the whole process. But I can advice you to try keto diet. It works so well and you don’t have to ever be hungry there’s just little wiggle room for mistakes and little variety but if you stick to meats no dressing no rice pasta fruit starchy veg bread or juice then you’ll lose. I always lost tons of weight on it but I couldn’t keep it off as soon as I ate reg food even in moderation. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  5. Still coming off my cold.. I have the worst cough. My doc said it’s nothing to worry about but it deff worried me because my surgery is 5/14 and I can’t stop getting these weird pinch/tickle in the back of my throat that makes my eyes watery and throws me into a full blown coughing attack. Imagine this while being out of surgery? I’ll prob rip all my stitches and not to mention the pain of coughing while being so sore. I been taking immune plus EmergenC idk if it has helped but it’s deff good for the immune system. I’ve heard Zicam is really good.. don’t know if I spelled it right. Has great reviews on Amazon Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  6. That’s awesome.. they let you pick a date as soon as 14 days after the 8th and you can also choose if you want to go 1st for surgery which means you have to be there around 5:30am. So basically my liquid diet started the day after I got my date because I picked the 1st thing. I didn’t get to go on a pre op food bender lol but I did go to Applebee’s that night. Congrats and good luck. We’ll prob run into each other at some point lol Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  7. How exciting! Same here, I’m going to have mine at the Milstein building of NY Columbia Presbyterian. So you finished all your clearances and get your date on the 8th ? Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  8. Omg I keep hearing this that it gets better after the 3rd day and I’m certainly looking forward to whatever switch that’s supposed to go off in me and just surrender to how it’s going to be. And I agree, I wouldn’t want to come this far just to ruin it all. I’m deff pushing through and trying to stay focused. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  9. Congratulations [emoji847] Yea this is so hard for me. I have the worst headache as well, deep in my brain. Honestly I feel so nauseous from these drinks and they’re starting to taste so sweet. I hate how all these fluids feel in my stomach too, gross! I’m just going to keep my eyes on the prize and letting people like yourself and everyone here going through this inspire me because if others can do it I can too [emoji123] i still wish I could at least have real food for dinner even if it was a tiny lean piece of protein with no sides [emoji30] that would be amazeballs after drinking protein all day. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  10. Yay! I’ll be stalking you around here too lol Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  11. You’re making me feel like a whiny baby [emoji30] i would have eating all that chicken with fries lmao nobody better even smell like food around me because I’ll eat them too Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  12. Excellent.. have you felt sick at all? I’m starting to feel really hot like it comes from inside of me. I also feel my blood pressure low and super nauseous and fatigued. Also every shake I drink is starting to taste sweeter and sweeter ugh [emoji58] Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  13. Facts! That’s the only thing that keeps me going. The thought that they can’t perform surgery or that I make it harder and more painful than it needs to be. So I will drink my shakes and then come on here and complain about how hungry I am afterwards [emoji23][emoji108] Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  14. I’m so jealous! I can’t wait to be where you’re at bc this liquid diet is killing me. I’m expecting post op liquid stage to be much easier because it just has to be. Being full after a few sips sounds good to me but being this hungry after 5 shakes is torture [emoji30] I’m such a complainer lol Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  15. I’m obsessed with that show. It’s a love hate thing Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  16. I’ve done low carb diets all my life and managed to lose up to 100lbs but couldn’t maintain. The prob with getting to ketosis while doing really low carb under 15 a day is that it’ll be high in fat/calories no matter what. Unless all I eat is plain tuna in water all day. I’m not sure what each doctor wishes to accomplish by whatever pre op requirements they pick but I just can’t take a chance to screw this over. But you had a great idea brewing lol. If I knew for sure it was just to be on ketosis I’d be having turkey bacon & egg whites for breakfast, grilled chicken for lunch and some yummy salmon for dinner no sides to keep it super low in cal and carbs. 17. I didn’t get a chance to. I went to see my surgeon 4/30 to get a date and I I had the option to book my surgery literally 14 days later and I did it. I went out for dinner that night (yesterday) and that’s it. Here I am day one of my liquid diet and all I can think about is all the food I could of had if I waiting til like May 20ish but i don’t regret it. I want this done and over and don’t forget that every pound you put on is weight that you have to lose and keeps you further from your goal. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  18. Today from 5-7PM around the time I eat dinner I started to freak out. My chest felt heavy, my blood pressure felt low and I got a hunger attack. I felt so sick and so nauseous! Also for a split sec I forget I’m not allowed to eat and I think of what I’m going to eat because I’m hungry and then it hits me that I won’t be eating. I hate feeling like this so out of control. Idk how everyone else is making it through this all liquid diet while still having your hunger and desire to eat but for me it’s kicking my a$$! I can’t imagine how the ones who work and are doing the pre op diet can do it and I admire and respect you because I don’t think I could! [emoji30][emoji24] Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  19. Hi [emoji112] my surgery is May 14th and I’m on straight protein shakes, 5/day to be exact. I can have raw broccoli or carrots after 3 days if I must chew. Idk how I’m going to make it. I really want spare ribs with pork fried rice [emoji24][emoji24] Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  20. Thanks.. I forgot all about the water [emoji87] I hate drinking water but I’m going to drink or at least try to drink 64oz a day. Right now I’ve had zero water. I know.. pathetic. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  21. Congrats!! I got my date yesterday and I had the option of picking the very 1st avail surgery date and it’s 2 weeks from now. No time to binge eat but I was scared if I got something too far off I’ll just get mega anxious and have way too much time to talk myself out of it. I too feel like wow I’m really about to do this to myself but then I get into my right mind and I get really excited again and proud of making this happen for me. Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  22. Wow you are inspiring.. i can’t wait to be where you are. 14 days away seems like an eternity. Deff checking out that YT channel Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  23. Thanks.. I’m going to check it out right now Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
  24. I was supper pumped yesterday and couldn’t wait for today to begin my diet but when I woke up this morning I almost convinced myself that I should start tomorrow and instead have salmon with Alfredo and ribs for dinner. Like I really had to talk myself out of it and get rid of everything else in the fridge. I haven’t experienced hunger pangs but I can’t stop thinking about all the delicious food I want to eat [emoji30] Can you guys suggest any weightloss shows or documentaries that will keep me a little distracted?? Thanks in advance Yo-Yo Girl from New York City
