  1. I will answer both questions. 1. Vinegar and Baking soda will clean anything! Try it in your tub and sinks too. 2. Is this thing on?
  2. Thanks so much for your support. I will take your suggestions to rest and heal. I now realize from reading all the posting here that it takes about 6 weeks to heal properly and I want this to work so I promise to take it easy. Shirley
  3. Hi Friends, I took the plunge yesterday 2/21/06 and feel pretty good. I had dry heaves once at the hospital and once during the ride home. I feel a little sore but thank goodness for medication. I think i should feel close to normal but the end of the week. I am doing broth, Jello, pudding and Water right now and feel pretty full all the time. Will keep you all posted and I appreciate the info and support you have given to me through this site. Take care, Shirley
  4. Great im so glad your are feeling well. I go in tomorrow morning I hope I feel as good as you. Please keep us posted. Shirley

  6. PLACEBO BAND...LOL I was a little confused about the fills but now I get it. Thanks for the info Kryssa!
  7. Question, Before you get a "fill" does the band itself restrict your food instake? I thought the band created the "pouch" and that made the stomach smaller which causes a feeling of fullness sooner. Pre-bandster 5'6" 256 lbs Dr Spivak
  8. Hi everyone, I am Necie and i went for my 1st appt today with Dr Spivak and well...im gonna do it! I have been reading your postings for about two weeks and I am ready. The nurse said my insurance is very accomodating "UHC" and I fit the criteria for surgery. I am playing the waiting game now and hope to join You fine ladies and submit my own success story soon. You ladies will have to tell me how to setup those nifty scales that show current weight and later goals. I want to be one of the gang...lol I am a little nervous. If anyone has suggestions or warnings..all are welcome.
